Luke is a 35 year old tattoo artist from California. He considers himself a self-taught survivalist and has studied several YouTube videos and read books to prepare. He has brought a pot as his one survival tool. His PSR is only 6.8 due to the fact that he hasn't used his skills in real life.

Alyssa is a 27 year old survivalist from New Hampshire who practices her skills by surviving int he dessert for 3 months with at risk youth. Her survival item is an axe. She doesn't seem to be taking Luke and his book smarts very seriously, and may even consider him a liability. Her PSR is 7.1.

The pair are at the eastern tip of the Yucatan along the rugged coast last populated by the Mayans. They have to make their way through razor sharp coral and sea snakes as their main concerns but their only water sources are home to huge crocodiles. So basically they have it easy. After building their shelter on the beach rather than near a water source their top priority is water. By noon it's already over 100 degrees so if they don't get water quickly severe dehydration will set in. Formed by a collapse in the limestone bedrock, the water holes contain high amounts of sulfur. And since it look like urine, it's obvious they'll need Luke's pot to boil the water until it's drinkable. Unfortunately neither of them brought a fire starter so they are doomed to a bow drill that's not working. Rather than continue expelling energy, Luke decides to make a water filter by layering charcoal and sand. Who needs experience? If properly maintained it could last the remainder of their time but they still need fire for food. While eating raw snails is fine, they would need up to 65 snails per day for enough calorie intake to make a difference.

Time for a new water source, but it's already occupied by a crocodile. And time for some bug spray. Even though they have made fire on day 10, the smoke hasn't kept the bugs away... causing Luke to have a massive f-bomb rant on his diary cam. You're making us feel for you, man.

Two days before extraction Alyssa decides that crab hunting at night is the best idea. Even with fire torches their visibility is decreased 70%. And once the torches go out they are down to almost 0% visibility with only their diary cams to use a light source. But the hard work pays off and they have crab for dinner just in time for extraction. They have to hike through dense, thorny forest before making it to their extraction point. When they emerge they are two miles south of the extraction area. Eventually they make it... naked but less afraid. Alyssa lost 14 pounds and raised her PSR to 7.8 while Luke lost 21 pounds and raised his PSR to 7.2.
