Joey Cook, American Idol's most recently eliminated singer is a true delight with big plans for the future. She is a well spoken, positive, and focused young woman who is totally cool with being eliminated off of Idol and says everything happens for a reason and truly values the experience. Here are some of our favorite Q&A's from the morning after her elimination.

Q. What were you planning on singing next week?

A. The arena anthem choices were going to be, The Story of my Life by One Direction but all acoustic with just a guitar- all crazy Joey style and Crazy Little Thing called Love by Queen.

Q.What did you think of Quentin standing up for you last night?

A. I was trying to telepathically send him my good energy and tell
him that everything is going to be fine. That's my best friend. We've have been very close throughout this entire competition and kept each other grounded. I think we have very similar motives with all this. In the sense of being unwavering of who we are throughout the competition and doing what it takes to stay true to ourselves in the process. I know he's going to do amazing on this and I just love him dearly.

Q. Do you think there may be a possibility of opening a show or two on the tour?

A. I'm open to anything.

Q. Do you have immediate plans?

A. I am flying back to Virgina. I get to see my family for a little bit which is going to be great and then NYC for press and back here for the finale. Then back to New Orleans as soon as possible.

Q. Did you talk to Quinten after the episode last night?

A. We talked during the commercial break and after the show. There's no sugar coating. He doesn't hide his emotions. He's honest.
He's a raw human being and I think what happened last night was a perfect example of that. And how emotional of a person he is and he
may have got a little bit nervous about what happened and I just told him, I love what you did. You spoke from the heart and I think you
reached a lot of people with that and brought light to, ya know, what us as contestants go through doing this entire process and every piece of the television show. This is our lives. We spent every single day together and you know, the separation anxiety tends to happen but I think we are both pretty happy about how everything went last night.

Q. Did you understand why Harry Connick Jr. scolded Quentin?

A. I think last night was a very real moment on television that everyone got to watch so no opinion on whether it was
right or wrong. I liked seeing it, personally.

Q. Were you fairly confident that America would vote to save you?

A: No, I knew. I don't know how. I just knew. I had a gut feeling that morning that I was going to be in the bottom and the day before
actually as well. And it wasn't that I felt that I did bad last week. It was just a feeling. I mean I love everyone in the competition. I want everyone to do well. I know what i'm doing after this so I want everyone else to go further in the competition and I'm happy with the results. I think it was perfect. I think Rayvon deserves it. I think that Rayvon is eating this competition up right now. He is proving every single week that he is not ready to go and everybody is kind of opening their ears to it. So I felt it.

Q. How to do you think the show has helped you?

A. I went from playing from on a sidewalk before this. It really is surreal and I've never had vocal lessons before. I've never had somebody tell me what arm movements I'm doing while I sing. I've never had any of these things before and getting access to all of this information and getting to work with my vocal coach was life changing.

Q. What was your favorite performance?

A. My favorite performance that I made was Fancy. Just because the experience of hearing that song in my head and
obviously it started with the juke box version and being able to communicate with the band that I wanted a big drum hit here and I wanted it to get really quiet here and explain to them what I was hearing in my head and then having them be able to play that sound back to me was just a mind blowing experience.

Q. Is there anyone in particular that you really took to their advice?

A. Obviously, meeting Boy George was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. He's just a really amazing person. Generally, my vocal coach. Her name is Kenya Hathaway. She pulls some bounds out of me that I did not know that I was capable of and she really pushed me as a vocalist to be more confident in myself and and to recognize that I am a singer. I am not just a musician. I am a vocalist. I am a good singer. And she gave me some outstanding advice. She is a goddess amongst woman. Everything she said to me, I will remember for forever. Overall, Joey is an unforgettable spirit with big plans to record her album. "I want to do it right, I have it all together. I've just always needed the resources to do it professionally and I think I've gotten to that point. It's so exciting!" says Joey. We love Joey's positive energy and looking forward to hearing her unique music style in the future!
