19 Kids and Counting: Reunion and Altar

Michelle's High School Reunion

It's Michelle's 30th high school reunion (Michelle was a cheerleader in high school and worked at a frozen yogurt shop) and her best friend, Cindy, is in town to visit and workout. Did you know that Michelle averages 4 miles on the elliptical machine, and apparently works out every morning? And she wears pants... under a skirt, if you're wondering. That's not the only surprise Michelle has for us. She also has previously suffered an eating disorder, bulimia, during high school. Before she found the Lord she was very self critical, unbeknownst to even her closest friends. The reason she wants to be honest about her struggles now is so that if even on person is affected she has helped them. "Life's too short to never have a chocolate chip cookie." Amen, Michelle.

Meanwhile, Jessa and Ben (along with some younger siblings) are addressing over 800 invitations for their upcoming nuptials. If all of the Duggar children invite 800 guests to their weddings they will spend almost $7500 on postage. While their licking stamps their wedding planner stops by to talk about wedding details... like ice cream (their wedding cake substitute). They are 42 days away and Ben doesn't have his tux yet. Much to the planner's dismay Ben and Jessa feel they have plenty of time.

Since the Duggars have several birthdays a month they try to find something exciting to do. This time it's horse back riding for Johanna's 9th birthday. Even cousin Amy and Grandma Duggar are participating. No skirt can hold Grandma back! (To date the Duggars have celebrated 306 birthdays.)

Race To The Altar

Jessa is trying to get in shape for the wedding and Ben is her trainer. Unfortunately for her siblings they still need chaperones. Even workouts can't be private. Exercises include truck pushing, racing and weight lifting. He has even impressed Michelle with bringing physical activity to the Duggar household.

Janna is helping Jill with a special Nepalese dinner for new husband Derek. But first she has to clean. It takes her three times longer to clean her home than it takes the Duggars to clean theirs. There really is power in numbers. You would think the biggest issue would be cooking a different kind of food, but it's her previous need for larger pans that has Jill stumbling in the kitchen. Basically she can't figure out how to decrease the recipes. For a regular dish she would make over 15 cups of rice to feed the family, for this dish she only needs 3 cups.

Justin and Jordyn are helping Ben and Jessa register for their wedding. Luckily Walmart has everything so it's a one stop event. But who really needs chaperones when Ben takes Justin to the toy section anyways? The guests must have been really confused when they saw dart guns and candy on the list.
