The Voice is baaacckkk and so is Coach Christina Aguilera! Shakira was ok, and Gwen was great but simply put - no one can fill Christina's shoes. To open the show, the coaches performed "Are You Gonna Go My Way", exciting the crowd.

I was one of the many people disappointed by last season's win and I was nervous that this season wouldn't be good. Let's face it, Blake is pretty much guaranteed to win every season, and how many more talented artists could there be after seven seasons? I'm happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised because the first round of the blind auditions was AMAZING! Sarah Potenza, an Italian American form Nashville with a country blues voice began the auditions and she was awesome, so Blake snatched her up.

The coaches were playing their usual games trying to land the best artists. Christina kept playing the "I'm a girl and thirsty for a win card", Blake let his wins speak for themselves, and Adam was as selective as ever. Probably one of the most unique artists to ever cross the stage was self described crooner, Lowell Oakly. Before his audition, he described how it was important for him to have the look of a real crooner, complete with the suit and smooth hair. His mother said that no one expected his voice to come out of a 19 year old but that still didn't prepare me for the sound that emerged from his mouth! He sounds like a cross between Frank Sinatra and Micheal Buble and Pharell is lucky to have him on his team.

There were many hits and some VERY disappointing misses. There was a 16 year old girl who saved her money working in a factory for her plane ticket. She was almost good enough, but not quite there yet. Then Blake was the only coach that didn't turn his chair around for this AMAZING country singer named Meghan Lindsey. She used to be part of a duo and get this - SHE OPENED FOR BLAKE ON TOUR! And he didn't recognize her! She joined Pharell's team and I think Blake will be kicking himself when another coach wins with a country artist!

Treeva Gibson, another 16 year old wowed the judges and landed on Team Christina. What makes her so amazing is that both of her parents are deaf AND she has mid range deafness herself. Not only does she not have any musical influence from her family unlike most contestants, she also has to struggle with her sound and rhythm. Closing the show was Sawyer Fredricks, a really special talent. He has a a voice so haunting, so special, that Adam said he wouldn't be going anywhere until he was the last person standing and Christina was already plotting to steal him from Pharell.

When the night ended, Blake and Pharell had each added three artists to their team Christina had two, and Adam had a big fat ZERO! Stay tuned as the blind auditions continue, and to see who is finally good enough to add to Adam's team!

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm EST on NBC.
