Our favorite ladies from the A are back, and they're bringing bucket loads of drama with them! Last season when we left off, Kandi was about to be married, Porsha had assaulted Kenya at the reunion, and things between Phaedra and Apollo were icy. Since then, Apollo has been indicted for mail, wire, and bank fraud, Porsha has been demoted to a part time housewife, and Cynthia and Nene are sworn enemies. These were the hot topics on the premiere of season 7:

Apollo's Sentencing

First things first. The majority of the drama in this episode centered around Apollo's legal issues and the season opened on the day of his sentencing. He was at home alone in he and Phaedra's mansion, and she was no where to be found. Citing paparazzi madness outside their home, Phaedra got a hotel room out of town to escape it with the children. The only problem? There weren't any paparazzi at their home on the day of his court date as a look from the camera revealed. The bottom line? Phaedra feels like Apollo got himself into this mess, and she WON'T be standing by her man. Apollo says that his illegal activities were motivated by needing to keep up with Phaedra's rich and famous lifestyle - a way of living that wasn't reachable for a convict fresh out of jail. Since he feels he was justified, he was PISSED that Phaedra took his children and left when he needed them most. In his wife's absence, Apollo has no choice but to lean on his brother and mother, who we learned had a drug addiction when he was growing up.  When Phaedra arrived home, Apollo told her that he wanted a divorce. Phaedra's response? Buon Voyage!

Nene vs. Cynthia

At the end of last season, we saw their friendship crumble mainly due to disagreements between their husbands. Although things were bad between them at reunion time, they didn't disrespect each other or argue, and Nene called her friendship with Cynthia "real" as opposed to a friendship she just has for the show. Considering this, I thought the feud between them would be over by now, but it isn't Nene was quoted on "Watch What Happens Live" as saying that Cynthia is wishy-washy and blows whichever way the wind blows. After that, Cynthia wrote her off and claims that everything in life is better now that Nene isn't in it, her marriage and even her businesses. I'm not sure how true that is, but it will be interesting to see how they interact this season!

Todd and Kandi's Ever Expanding Family

Thanks to "Kandi's Wedding" viewers got to see Kandi wed Todd in a very fast, unorganized wedding. Now the couple is settling into their life together and planning to add to their family. Todd's daughter is moving to Atlanta to live with them and they're trying to have a baby. Todd and Kandi are already disagreeing on how to raise their girls, and the second one hasn't even arrived yet! Kandi wants to give his daughter his old Range Rover and Todd thinks she should have a Honda or Toyota to start with. Since Todd is a structured parent and Kandi spoils Riley, it will be interesting to see how they do this!

Kenya

Everyone knows that Kenya provoked Porsha at the reunion with her wand, and now she's gotten the poor girl demoted. Porsha is only returning as a part time housewife and I'm sure her salary has been significantly reduced. Despite all this, Kenya is still crying victim. She says that being "attacked" has caused her mental anguish and she felt ganged up on because all the ladies went to comfort Porsha and not Kenya after their fight. Blah blah!

This season should be interesting. Phaedra has to learn how to be a single mom while juggling school and her multiple businesses. Kandi has to learn how to live with a man again. Porsha has to try and stir up enough drama to get her job back as a full time housewife. Should be interesting - stay tuned folks!
