We had people
playing the piano, asking for salsa lessons, feeling pulses, and one
faked pregnancy - just a typical first night in The Bachelor mansion.
This season's man in demand, Juan Pablo Galavis, seemed quite taken was
just about every woman ABC threw at him.
The mounting pressure to
stand out in a sea of attractive people, coupled with very little time
to make an impact, always seems to get to some more than others. When
the first impression rose hit the table, that's when the panic set in
with people left and right freaking out over their lack of time with the
Bachelor.
Lauren H. went on a fact finding mission to figure out
how the other girls got time with Juan Pablo and broke down in tears
soon after. Given that she recently got out of a relationship with a guy
she was engaged to, it's a little understandable. "This is kind of
breaking me," she sobbed. If you can't hack it on night one, any past contestant will tell you that it only
gets tougher from here!
She did end up getting her time with Juan Pablo, but decided to spend it airing her baggage about her last relationship. It was doomed from the start. The only thing more awkward than that was the first rose presentation to Sharleen, the opera singer. Oh wait, did we mention the part where Kylie thought he said her name at the rose ceremony but didn't? Ouch! By the time the night was over, were left with 18 women (sans Lauren H), one of whom will hopefully be Juan Pablo's wife.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
