Going into this week on The Amazing Race, Ally and Ashley were in a good spot. They were tightly aligned with another team, while the others seemed to have no intention of intentionally trying to get them out. A misstep in Indonesia, though, ended up costing the friends the game. The girls lost a lot of time running around in the wrong place during the Detour and they ended up arriving last at the pit stop. We talked to them this week about whether or not there was anything really going on with Leo and Jamal as well as the country from the race they'd love to visit again most.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was it about the other that you felt made them a good partner to run the race with?
A. Ally: Oh my goodness. Well, Ashley is not only extremely athletic but she is a go getter and she's feisty. I'm a little bit more of a people-pleaser.
A. Ashley: With Ally, I knew that she was super athletic but she has a competitive side. She's really intelligent and it was such good balance.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: There were some things that scared several of the teams, from heights to water. Was there anything that made you nervous?
A. Ally: I don't think so, to be honest! Nothing made me stop in my tracks and say, "Oh my gosh, I don't wanna do this!" We wanted to win and we were going to do whatever it takes to make it to the finale.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You had a very positive attitude almost the entire time. Is that how you approach things in your everyday lives?
A. Ashley: I think it came naturally to us because even if we got stressed out, we were laughing abut it ten minutes after. You're in so many beautiful countries and at the end of the day, how many people get to say they were on The Amazing Race?

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was there anything real going on with Leo and Jamal? Do you feel at any point your alliance with them hurt your game?
A. Ally: Leo and Jamal were really just our friends. There was no real flirtation going on. I would say that they also helped us not let the stress get to us. We laughed and had so much fun. Our alliance kept us mentally in the game.
A. Ashley: I don't think Ally and I had a target on our backs. We raced our own race and had fun with everybody. We weren't in anybody's minds to be U-Turned. I don't think we really had targets on our backs at all.
A. Ally: I've noticed that some people definitely didn't cheer for us and maybe they do connect us with them but that's okay. They were good to us.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How much time did you lose running around the zoo this week?
A. Ashley: I think we lost a lot of time. We had an hour lead in front of Tim and Marie.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Is there a particular country from the race that you want to visit again?
A. Ally: Oh 100% my favorite was Portugal. I can't wait to go back. I'm Portuguese so I can't wait to go back.
