The Voice Season 5: Blind Auditions Part 5

by Jessica Blackwell

Matt Cermanski

After taking the coachs' advice from last season, Matt returned with a better song, hoping to get some chair turns. From the first bars of "Have a Little Faith in Me", Adam was hooked and he turned immediately, with Blake and Cee-lo following. Even though Adam told him his last song choice of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" was weird, he still picked him as his coach.

Tamara Chaunience

She's a former child gospel singer who recorded her first album at age 7, but hadn't yet had her big break. Performing Beyonce's "1+1" may have gotten her just that, because Christina and Cee-lo pushed their buttons for her. She's a preacher's kid and he's a self-proclaimed sinner, but she's moving on with Team Cee-lo!

Grey

Anyone confident enough to go by one name deserves  a chance on The Voice and this wedding singer got exactly that. She took her shot at Kelly Clarkson's "Catching my Breath" and did an amazing performance. This must be Adam's lucky night, because she picked him, completing his team.

Michael Lynch

He's not spanish, but he loves  latin culture and even attended a music school in Mexico. He's got an amazing voice and he performed "Bailamos" for the judges and of course, when they turned around, they were shocked to see an Irish boy standing there. Since Christina is no stranger to the crossover, and has done a Spanish album, he chose her as his coach, completing her team.  They even did a little salsa number in celebration.

Shawn Smith

Also known as Big Sexy, this war veteran won Cee-lo over, taking the last spot on his team. Despite being injured when a bomb went off, he sang a song that showed he was prideful of having served his country. He's got some work to do vocally, but there's always one underdog who surprises us every season.

Next week, the coaches get some company as Cher, Ryan Tedder, Miguel, and Ed Sheeran join them and assist in prepping their team for the knockout rounds. Stay tuned!

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm EST on NBC.
