I hate to be a pessimist, but as soon as the Gorga/Giudice peace treaty was formed, I started wondering how it was all going to come crashing down. Last week, when Teresa acted bat sh*t crazy trying to convince Melissa that she and Penny weren't friends, the Gorgas realized that they may have been too quick to trust Teresa.
The trip to Arizona began not so smoothly with the Lauritas' and Manzos' plane being delayed and Melissa, the guest of honor, coming down with some kind of cold. For these New Jersians, being in Arizona was like being a fish out of water. Caroline comented that they didn't belong there and that it wasn't "their scene" while Rich b*tched and moaned about his room and the resort. There was a little too much wildlife for them, with talk of scorpians and tarantulas and a bat paying their hotel a visit.
Their first night there, an energy healer, otherwise known as a medium gave the group a reading. Not everyone was into it, and at first it seemed like she was really missing the mark, but then she hit the nail right on the head when she evaluated the situation with Melissa and Teresa. She advised them that blood is thicker than water and to trust each other. From there things got really freaky and emotional.
Although Ritchie was originally skeptical, his Dad came through to talk to him and urged him to watch the videos of his wedding that he hasn't been able to view since his death. Rich got reallly emotional, and opened up about what his father's death was like for him. Then Rose and Kathy's dad paid a visit, opening the waterworks for them. The medium knew how he passed away, and what ailed him before he died. Kathy's dad let her know that he hears her when she talks to him, and that he heard her when she told him he loved her while he was dying.
The next day, the group abandoned a sickly Melissa to do a dessert hike that ended with a cleansing ceremony. At the ceremony, each person got to write down one main thing they wanted to let go of and burn the paper. When it was her turn, Teresa called everyone up and had them all hold hands to symbolize moving forward. She and Jacqueline almost had a moment afterwards, where Jacqueline let her know that she wanted their rekindling relationship to be genuine. It was going great until Teresa made a comment that karma can sometimes hit your kids instead of you, and Jacqueline couldn't help but think she waas referring to Nick.
Next week, Jacqueline ponders Teresa's comment and Joe Giudice opens up and gets emotional? Stay tuned!
