Oxygen's hit reality show The Face is returning for a second season, and a casting call will be held this coming weekend in New York City. Women who are over 18 years old and at least 5'7 are encouraged to apply, and more information can be found on their casting site.  The audition will take place Sunday, July 21, from 10 - 4 pm at Chelsea Studios 151 West 26th Street, New York, NY 10001, 6th Floor. In preparation for this weekend's open call, we chatted with casting director, Randy Bernstein, to talk about season 2 and what he's looking for when he auditions people for The Face.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Tell us how the success of The Face led to a second season. You must be very excited!
A. Randy: Yes, we are super psyched that The Face is back for a second season! The Face is a successful series because it is a true-to-life experience of what it takes to become a model in the real world. Not only were models from season 1 mentored by iconic supermodels like Naomi Campbell, but they also had the opportunity to work with renowned fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier for a feature in W Magazine. As the season progressed, they created campaigns with major fashion brands such as Vogue Eyewear, Kleinfeld, Cosabella and internationally celebrated fashion designer Zac Posen. The winner of The Face ultimately won a contract to be the face of ULTA Beauty.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How are in person casting calls more beneficial than a video or application someone sends in?
A. Randy: We consider ALL applications, including videos that are mailed in to our office. However, we strongly suggest you try to make it to our open call in NYC. It's always great to meet us face to face so we can get a better sense of who are you and what you look like in person.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How quickly are you usually able to assess if someone is a good fit for a show you are casting?
A. Randy: That's a great question! When I'm casting any show, I always look for the "it" factor, and when you have "it", it usually pops out immediately!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What should people expect at the casting call this weekend in New York?
A. Randy: We are looking for the complete package. Not only should the models look amazing, but they should also be expected to wow us with their dazzling personalities. We encourage them to be as open as honest as possible about what makes them unique and try not to compare themselves to anybody else. We are all different and that's what makes us special - embrace your uniqueness!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the one thing someone could do in the audition that would turn you off to them immediately?
A. Randy: This is going to sound cliche, but the BEST thing to do at any audition is to be yourself!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Do you lean towards models with experience, no experience, or does it all depend?
A. Randy: When looking for The Face, we truly believe that could come to us from many different places, so we are just open to see what everyone brings to the table.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What else can you tell us about season 2?
A. Randy: The first season of The Face kicked off strong with talented women, top notch brands and iconic mentors, so expect this season to take take it to the next level!
