Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 8: Episode 5 Recap Khloe and Kylie

by Jessica Blackwell

Kendall and Kylie, the younger Kardashian (Jenner) sisters have been joined at the hip since they were born, but lately they've been growing up - and apart. Kendall is older and is hardcore into modeling. She seems to already be making really smart decisions about her image and future career goals, whereas Kylie isn't ready to take anything that seriously. Kylie is sick of the pressure that Kendall is putting on her to take everything as seriously as she does, and wanted to branch out and do her own thing, which meant dabbling in acting and hanging out with her friends alone. Kendall on the other hand felt that Kylie was immature and was tired of having to be so much more responsible than her younger sister.

Despite the fact that they were working on a clothing line together, Kylie didn't want to hang out with Kendall any time outside of work. After a fight over ski pants escalated to death threats, Khloé felt it was best to try and help them mend their friendship, so she arranged a secret meeting for them. They were able to mend their differences- for now. Even though they fight, they know at the end of the day no one can take the place of each other.

To add to his already very eclectic resume, Scott's friend Chapman, aka his twin that he met in Miami gave him the idea to race professionally. Since he wanted to race since he was a young boy, Scott took the opportunity and ran with it. It looks like the sport was a little too much for him to handle, because he realized he had anxiety that stemmed from a fear of failure. Kourtney reminded him that he has to stop caring what people think in order to truly be happy.

Rob Kardashian still cannot figure his life out! Still on the mend after his very public breakup with Rita Ora, he has gained a lot of weight but lacks the motivation to lose it. Since Kim was gaining pregnancy weight, he wasn't the only Kardashian being bullied about his weight.

In addition to his weight gain, he also seemed to have slipped into some kind of depression - not wanting to do anything other than hang out in his room, being rude and nasty towards his family, and lying often. To add to his misfortune, a paparazzi took pictures of Rob on private property and some kind of scuffle ensued. The photographer decided to press charges against him, but  luckily, he has connections in the legal world. He avoided an arrest with famous attorney Robert Shapiro. When the thought of her son getting arrested became too much for her to bear, Kris realized she had begun feeling responsible for some of his recent behavior. She needed to speak to someone in order to work on those feelings, so she talked to a therapist who helped her realize that she isn't to blame for every problem that her kids have. She tried to get Rob to talk to someone about his depression, but that's a decision he will have to make on his own.

On next week's episode, Khloé feels left out when her sisters go baby shopping and Kim's house gets TP'd! Stay tuned!
