The Voice Season 4

The live performances continue this week and it's time for everyone to put their best feet forward. From now on, teams and coaches don't matter because it's up to America to decide who stays on the show! The coaches no longer have the ability to save a member of their teams, and the bottom two artists are going home no matter whose team they're on. Besides the insane pressure, the air conditioning was out in the building. Remember they're in Las Vegas! During a heat wave! Here are the best performances from the night:

Vedo - Team Usher

Usher decided to have Vedo tap into his performance ability and channel Michael Jackson as he performed "Rock Wit You". At the beginning of his performance, I was getting a little nervous because it seemed that he was struggling to sing and dance at the same time, put he pulled it together and hit a great note at the end. I'm quite sure that when he chose to do this routine, he had no idea the power would be out but he still made it happen, and in a leather jacket no less!

Holly - Team Blake

The invincible Holly sang "Broken Wing" by Martina McBride and Blake was looking for a powerful rendition, telling her the song wouldn't work unless "she sung it hard" and MAN did she deliver!!! She hit the end of the song like a PRO! I was convinced that Judith would win, but Holly could give her a run for her money!

Sasha - Team Shakira

Shakira was able to pick up on Sasha's Broadway inflections, and while they made be great for that type of venue, she rightfully advised her to tone it down a notch. Due to Shakira's great advice, Sasha gave a powerful, yet controlled performance. I think it's clear that she ended up with the correct coach.

Judith - Team Adam

I always wait for Judith's performances because she's so awesome. Not only did she give a soft mellow performance, she performed solely with her own music accompaniment - the first member of Adam's team to do so. I have no words for the wonderful rendition of "You've Got a Friend In Me" she gave other than it was flawless. Adam called her the "most talented human being in the competition".

Amber - Team Adam

She gave a mind blowing performance of Martina McBride's "Love You Through It" and dedicated it to her late mother. I always love artists who sing from the heart, and she was able to get through a song that was so personal to her. Everyone was blown away by her performance, and I think it's safe to say, she's safe tomorrow.

Everyone from Carson to the judges, to the artists were a bit off their game tonight because of the heat, but they all pushed through it. Tomorrow we find out who the top 10 in the competition are. Stay tuned!

The Voice airs Mondays at 8pm, EST on NBC.
