Caroline Glaser of The Voice Season 4

Caroline Glaser caught the attention of coaches Blake Shelton and Shakira during the blind auditions of The Voice, opting to join Team Blake for the battle round. After losing to country singer Danielle Bradbery, Adam Levine jumped at the chance to work with her and she went on to defeat powerhouse vocalist Amy Whitcomb in the knockout round. On last week's first live elimination of the season, Adam hemmed and hawed between Caroline and teammate Sarah Simmons, choosing in in the last few seconds to keep Sarah. We talked to Caroline, following her elimination, about leaving school to pursue her dreams and her experience competing on The Voice.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Is it true you dropped out of school to compete on The Voice?
A. Caroline: I withdrew from University of Kansas. I was in my first semester and I got the opportunity to be flown out for the executive auditions, which is right before the blinds. I had a good feeling. I didn't withdraw right then but as I progressed through the competition, I decided to leave.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You picked a great song for your blind audition, Elton John's "Tiny Dancer". What was your reaction when both Blake and Shakira turned around for you?
A. Caroline: Oh, thank you! It is a great song, and I was nervous about singing it. It was the best moment of my life when they turned around. All I could see was the lights from the chairs going up. I tried to keep it together!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Whenever Blake was having a hard time making a decision in the battle round, he always went with country. Did you feel you were at a disadvantage, being on his team initially?
A. Caroline: No, I never really felt at a disadvantage. I feel like I learned a lot from him but the way the battles panned out, it was the best possible outcome. Danielle is amazing and she'd be best with Blake, and I'd be best with Adam.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Adam was quick to scoop you up onto his team, but what did you think when he put you against Amy Whitcomb for the knockout round?
A. Caroline: Amy and I were really close and she's the person I went to for constructive criticism. We were roommates, we were really close, and it was awkward and surprising. We were trying to figure out who would get paired with who for the knockouts and we never guessed each other. I thought I was going home for sure.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: During the results show last week, Adam sincerely seemed like he was having a hard time choosing between you and Sarah. What was going through your mind in those last moments?
A. Caroline: Gosh, I don't know! It's hard. The girls are so incredibly talented. I mean, everyone is so talented! I was just honored to be part of that Top 16. I'm not bitter about the outcome. It's unfortunate I don't get to continue working and growing on the show. I was nervous about the elimination. I figured if I didn't get saved by America, I was going home.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You already have a YouTube channel that has seen some success. What's next for you?
A. Caroline: I came home and immediately started writing. I'm going to release stuff whenever I can. I want to release something soon. The show has built a really great fan base for me!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Is there anyone in particular on The Voice you're rooting for?
A. Caroline: I'm definitely still Team Adam but I grew really close to Amber and the Swan Brothers the most. I'll definitely be voting for them.
