The tribes merge on Survivor: Caramoan

by Gina Scarpa

The first three weeks in the game have finally led to this: a merge on Survivor! A boat arrives at the Gota camp to pick them up and unite them with Bikal. Of course, it's all smiles and hugs when the group first comes together. It's new, it's exciting, and there's a feast! Malcolm names the new tribe Enil Edam, which they think means "new beginning", but it's just his mom's name spelled backwards. As soon as the pleasantries are over, Phillip grabs Andrea to lock up his alliance of four with her, Dawn, and Cochran. Meanwhile, Corinne reunites with Malcolm and plots to work with the fans.

WIth no reward challenge, it's straight to individual immunity and in order to win the necklace, these players will have to have a strong stomach. I can't imagine anyone calling larvae, balut, or pig brain delicacies but the people of Caramoan do. I can barely watch as people gag trying to get the dishes down in each round, and the players can barely keep the food down themselves. Cochran, however, finally finds a challenge that he was born to win. He downs each plate put in front of him, defeating big, bad Malcolm - and celebrating with a serious victory dance, only furthering my love for him!

It seems like Sherri is the easy vote at tribal council. It won't ruffle any feathers or have a major impact on the game. When Corinne gets fed up of Phillip's orders though, she decides to go rogue and hatches a plan to blindside him. In order to get it done, she needs Dawn, who isn't so eager to flip. Still reeling from her elimination on South Pacific, she vows not to make the same mistake twice and stay silent when she knows something's up. She runs back to Phillip, who alerts all the favorites that Corinne can no longer be trusted.

A very confident Corinne heads to tribal council, sure that she has the numbers to shake up the game and send Special Agent Shepherd to Ponderosa.  Never underestimate Stealth R Us and their fearless leader though.  Phillip Shepherd doesn't go to bed every night thinking of Boston Rob for no reason!  Sherri gets a few votes, but the numbers quickly shift in her favor and Corinne becomes the first good blindside of the season.  Sherri was convinced there was no way a fan would make it to the end - do you agree?
