by Gina Scarpa

This season of The Biggest Loser, we've watched as teens Sunny Chandrasekar, Biingo Gray, and Lindsay Bravo have bravely chosen to face their weight loss issues on national television. Each was paired with a trainer and learned healthy eating habits and tips on increasing their physical activity each day. Lindsay, who has been working with Dolvett, dreams of joining the cheerleading squad and we talked to her today about her journey on The Biggest Loser towards a healthier and happier life.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What pushed you to submit yourself for The Biggest Loser?

A. Lindsay: I guess knowing that I was a teenager trying to act like a normal teenager, but I wasn't able to do a lot of things that normal teenagers could do. I was always taking it out on food because I was bullied in cheerleading and that was my favorite sport. Knowing The Biggest Loser was receiving teens was emotional for me because it was like, this program is trying to change their lives which is amazing. They told me I had pre-diabetes and I'm so thankful for them because without them, I would have full blown diabetes

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You and Dolvett have such a nice relationship. How do you like working with him?

A. Lindsay: Well, Dolvett is an awesome person. At first, he intimidated me! I was like, "Oh my gosh, this guy has muscles. What if he screams at me?" So when he showed that soft side, I was like, "This guy is cool." We do talk about exercise and I keep in touch with him.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I loved when he showed up at your school to check in on you and tried cheerleading too. How was it to have him in your world?

A. Lindsay: Not knowing that he was going to go to my school and being surprised, I was thinking, "Okay, what are you doing here?" The next day, everyone said, "Your trainer is so cute!" and I was like, "Do you know how old he is?"

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's your family's reaction been like to you being on the show?

A. Lindsay: I am the baby of the family so I would get whatever I wanted. Knowing I was going to get this opportunity, they were so excited. I always scream, "I'm on tv! I'm on tv!" It's really awesome seeing myself on tv.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Tell us about your interactions with the adult contestants this season.

A. Lindsay: It was really fun doing challenges with them. That first challenge was awesome because, like I said, "Adults should really listen to kids!" It was awesome, knowing them and doing exercises with them. They're like my family!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the main thing you learned while at the ranch that you took home into your everyday life?

A. Lindsay: Of course, exercising. That's the main thing. And dieting. I really learned about Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right from The Biggest Loser. I would drown myself in food. I have this book to show me I can have two red lights a week and that's not bad. I can get a hot dog or an ice cream, and knowing that's not bad for me makes me happy. It's about moderation.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What is your favorite form of exercise now?

A. Lindsay: I really like running. I love going in the mornings with my dogs for a run or a jog, or to the park to play with my dogs. They're just awesome. You can talk to your dog and they won't talk to anyone else!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Are you still planning on trying out for cheerleading?

A. Lindsay: Yeah, probably next year when I go into high school. I'm going to try out and hopefully make it. Cross your fingers! Right now, I'm practicing a lot so once I go for that tryout, I'll be at the top of my game.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was the best part about being on The Biggest Loser?

A. Lindsay: I guess the best part is that everyone is so welcoming and nice, especially the contestants, and Biingo and Sunny. Have that extra support and family that loves you has been awesome!
