Katie, Kristen, and Stassi on the season finale of Vanderpump Rules

Time flies on Vanderpump Rules, and we're already at the season finale. With only eight episodes for its premiere season, it seems very likely the show will be returning, given its popularity with Bravo fans. Jax and Stassi have reconciled (enough to be friends) and head out shopping for her puppy, Venice. It doesn't take long for old issues to be dragged up at the mere mention of Laura Leigh's name. Jax promises that he's trying to prove that he's changed, but Stassi isn't quite buying it. Nor should she.

Speaking of Laura Leigh, she meets with Lisa to announce that she's quitting Sur. Because of the fallout with Jax, you ask? No, she's booked a movie with Jennifer Aniston. I did a little digging and saw that Wetpaint announced she'll be in We're The Millers with Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Emma Robserts, and Ed Helms. Laura Leigh says she's starring opposite Aniston, which I'm not totally convinced of yet. While she's listed high up in the cast on IMDB, her character doesn't have a name yet so we'll have to wait until the summer, when the movie hits theaters.

With Laura Leigh out of the picture, perhaps the Sur staff members can finally move forward, starting with Kristen and Stassi. The two talk things out and finally get back onto good terms with one another. At a promotional photo shoot at Lisa's house, it's clear all of the girls have put their past behind them and are moving forward. The same can't be said for Jax and Stassi, as Lisa reveals that she knows Stassi and Frank had dinner at Villa Blanca recently. Of all the places! Jax is none too pleased at the news, and tells Stassi he doesn't want her seeing him. Well, he's not her boyfriend anymore so he doesn't get to have a say. On top of that, they're working at the shoot and this is not an appropriate time to have this conversation but Jax isn't very good at right time/right place.

In counseling, Jax admits that he's been living a lie, from not using his real name (which is Jason, eh close enough) to telling people he finished college. If he's really going to move forward, he's going to need to start telling the truth but are we sure we want to open that can of worms? Meanwhile, Scheana sits down with Lisa for the first time since storming out of Sur after being taken off of working a party that Brandi was attending. Lisa assures Scheana that she hasn't lost respect for her but the situation is delicate and will take a little time. With Brandi?! Don't count on things being forgiven and forgotten anytime soon.

At a party for the staff, Jax decides that's the time to start this new open, honest thing. What did I tell you about right time/right place? First, he gives Lisa his notice, saying it's time to move on and that he doesn't need the job that badly to continue putting himself through everything that's been going on. Next, he pulls Stassi aside to finally admit that yes, he did cheat on her. He also announces it to his group of friends, who are shocked and hurt since they've spent months defending him. A crushed Stassi is left sobbing in the arms of Kristen and Katie, while Jax leaves with the promise of never being seen again. Given my confidence that the show will return, I have a hard time believe it's the last we've heard of him.
