The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 5

by Jessica Blackwell

Since her entrance on the scene, Kenya Moore has bumped heads with Cynthia, Porsha, Phaedra and now on this episode she gets into it with NeNe!

Phaedra, although pissed off with Kenya last week promptly put her in her place and tried to let it go. I know that deep down she was still pissed that Kenya even tried to "put her paws" on her man (as she would put it) but at least Kenya now knows not to mess with her. I still don't think that's the end of that situation though... I want to know who Kenya is talking about in the season trailer when she mentions "having feelings" for someone...

Last week I balked when it seemed that Cynthia was ok with Kenya grinding all over her husband, but apparently, she didn't see it. Although she was annoyed at the incident, she decided to let it go since the moment had already passed. I wonder how she felt after she saw the footage of it because Porsha's description of it didn't really to it justice.

Walter dramatically pulled Kenya aside to clue her in on the vow renewal that Peter was planning for him and Cynthia, and of course she thought that was the moment he was going to propose. I wonder if when he bends over to tie his shoes, she gets excited because she thinks he's getting down on one knee?

Kenya and Porsha possibly buried the hatchet while in NeNe's room getting their hair done for the ceremony. Kenya has actually acknowledged Porsha's presence and NeNe used that as an opportunity to bring up their past drama, but they both stated they left it in Atlanta.

NeNe smelled bulls*** when she was sniffing around Kenya and Walter's situation so she tried to draw out the details of their relationship. It was recently reported that Kenya asked Walter to "play" her boyfriend on the show, but he backed out when she started pressuring him into marriage and he discovered that it was the ultimate plot of the producers for them to marry on the show. Given this information, I think NeNe had more than enough reason to be suspicious. The more NeNe questioned her, the more aggravated Kenya became.

Peter finally got to realize his dream of surprising Cynthia with a vow renewal ceremony on the beach. Everyone played it off and acted like they were going to an all white party so that she could be surprised.

Even though Cynthia hates surprises, she couldn't ignore that Peter's gesture was extremely thoughtful and romantic. When speaking to her up at the altar both of them got emotional, and it was very heartwarming. I'm glad they got to do it all over again after all the drama with their first ceremony.  After the wedding, the girls headed back to their resort for a nightcap and the drama began!

It seemed clear to me that NeNe was just trying to antagonize Kenya in any way she could. Besides constantly questioning her relationship with Walter, she asked Porsha to describe what happened at her charity event that led to their beef. Porsha jumped at the chance to rehash what happened, and sure enough, their short lived peace pact was over as they launched into a full on verbal war. Porsha deemed her a hood rat, tramp, ghetto, and old and Kenya went nuts.

NeNe, who in my opinion orchestrated the whole situation, then confronted Kenya for going crazy when Porsha was just telling her side of the story. Kenya felt that people hit her below the belt and she was offended. She eventually dismissed NeNe and went to bed, exiting the area with a twirl of her skirt.

Next week the drama continues, and it looks like Walter calls Kenya out on their fake wedding plans! Stay tuned!
