All The Right Moves

by Gina Scarpa

We're back with Teddy and Nick this week on All The Right Moves and the truth is about to come out. Teddy admits to Kyle that he kissed Noelle which makes their upcoming date that night super awkward. When Kyle confronts her about it, she uses being drunk as an excuse and says that Teddy swore her to secrecy. It doesn't matter - things are over between them. And rightfully so.

The guys are preparing to head to the giant dance convention NUVO in Arizona. Some of them will be teaching, and Teddy, Travis, and Nick will perform a trio to debut Shaping Sound. Travis and Teddy have also booked a Dancing With The Stars performance, along with tWitch and Bryan Tanaka. The piece, set to "Feel So Close" by Calvin Harris, is an impressive, high energy, hip hop routine. Teddy finds out that this performance rehearses the same time NUVO takes place, and he still hasn't even submitted his SYTYCD piece yet!

Jaimie comes over to cook the guys dinner (how sweet!) and Teddy ruins the good vibe in the mood by announcing that he's not going to NUVO. Of course, Travis and Nick aren't happy but Kyle agrees to stand in for him so all is well for the moment. Unfortunately, once Travis and Kyle arrive in Phoenix, Nick calls and also bails on the performance, after suffering an injury teaching back in L.A. Now, we're looking at a duet and the entire concept needs to change.

First up, Travis teaching a class with his mom Denise and the two have a heart to heart afterwards about Taja and her attitude. Taja grew up in in Denise's studio so she knows her well but can't figure out what her problem is with her son. All of the stress is starting to take its toll on Travis and he starts getting down on himself. He doesn't like his choreography and feels like he's settling with the piece he's putting together. Thankfully, Nick shows up to help with putting the performance together.

Back in L.A., Teddy finally hands in submission two weeks late to his agents at Clear Talent, and Pete doesn't seem happy with him. He really needs to get better at managing his time. Teddy meets up with Taja, and tries to convince her not to leave Shaping Sound all together. She complains that she's not being challenged in the company and it's all repeat choreography. See, just for that, Travis shouldn't allow her back AND should reconsider even being friends with her.

Right before the NUVO performance, Nick and Kyle find Travis on the ground backstage, suffering from an allergic to bananas. I didn't know that was even a thing... and I'm still not sure it is. He recovers quickly enough to get on stage and Nick attributes his falling ill to stress, more than bananas. The duet, set to M83's "Midnight City" may not have been the most memorable Travis Wall piece, but anything he does is great in my book!

Before the guys leave Arizona, Nick gets a text from Travis that they have to stop Taja from leaving the company. It seems like another showdown is on the horizon. Do you want to see her stay or go?
