All The Right Moves

WallGate is not over yet on this week's episode of All The Right Moves. Teddy and Nick are still concerned over their agent's suggestion that their dance company be called Travis Wall's Shaping Sound. Apparently, Nick has a lot of unresolved issues about the fact that Travis is the big breakout star from SYTYCD, but people forget that he actually won his season and now feels left in the shadows.

Dance Spirit magazine does a photo shoot with the guys, as well as Kyle, Taja, and Jaimie for an article on the dance company. It was great to see Jaimie be able to participate in some way, especially since she's been struggling with not being able to dance after her surgery. Teddy approaches Travis about wanting to submit to become a choreographer for SYTYCD and Travis seems fairly supportive but warns him that he'll need to get his video together soon. Travis also finds out that Madonna wants a submission for her tour from him as soon as humanly possible. The clock's ticking!

Travis decides to get to work on his choreography for Madonna the next day, but the guys already have plans. Kyle has an acting class, full of silly exercises, while Nick has agreed to help Teddy with his piece that he'll be choreographing for (REAL LIFE COUPLE!) Alison and Twitch. That does not sit well with Travis at all, who sometimes seems to forget that everything doesn't revolve around him, even when it's really important. He storms off and starts calling people to fill in last minute, while the others head off in separate directions.

Teddy choreographs an intense and sexy piece for Alison and Twitch on the rooftop of the studio. It's full of intricate lifts and of course, those two have tons of chemistry. Hopefully, it gets him noticed with Nigel Lythgoe and the other powers that be at SYTYCD. In Travis's rehearsal, Taja is being difficult - what else is new? - while Robert drops a bomb that he's leaving for Australia NOW for 10 days and won't be able to continue. On top of that, Jaimie is still having a hard time sitting back and breaks down to Travis, severely missing her ability to dance and participate in his projects.

We find out that Taja's attitude is (partially) due to the fact that she's under a lot of stress. She just returned from touring with Nicole Scherzinger but is being asked to go back, overseas, to dance with her again and open for Prince. That's an amazing opportunity! Taja also has a band called Traffic with her sisters and feels a sense of responsibility to them because she's the breadwinner. It seems like she's got way too much going on and something's gotta go. While I'm kind of concerned that something is Shaping Sound, she's also incredibly difficult every time she's around so maybe it's a good thing!

Nick's insecurities about the company having Travis's name on it finally come out, as all the guys discuss their issues at the house. Nick utters my favorite quote of the episode, "Unless your name is Beyonce, I'm not dancing backup next to you!" and Travis seems to understand. Things are smoothed over later at dinner, and the two start joking around again and acting like nothing happened. Good sign! Travis asks Teddy to replace Robert in the piece, while Channing steps in for Taja after she fails to show up. She claims she got stopped for speeding, but does that really make you three hours late?! Though it was extremely stressful and rushed, Travis pulls out an amazing piece that Madonna would be crazy to pass on!
