Hell's Kitchen Season 10

by Todd Betzold

There has been so much drama and fighting on Hell's Kitchen this season, they should really rename it to Ghetto Trash's Kitchen. The women of the Red Team have looked, sounded and acted ridiculous, which led Chef Ramsay to move Robyn over to the Blue Team. Will this be the thing to get the teams working better together? Doubtful, but time will tell!

The Red Team comes back happy to be rid of Robyn and Robyn tells the Blue Team that she is there to prove herself and not stab anyone in the back. The next day, it is time for the challenge. It is Hell's Kitchen version of craps. Each chef will roll the die and they will have to choose an ingredient that starts with the letter on the die. The Blue Team goes first and Clemenza picks Heirloom Tomatoes, Justin picks Daikon, Robyn picks Dragon Fruit, Brian picks Edamame and Royce picks Chicken...good luck with that combination Blue Team. The Red Team goes and after making fun of the Blue Team for their choices, Tiffany picks Chicory, Barbie picks Lamb, Kimmie picks Turnips, Dana picks Brussels Sprouts and Christina picks Truffle.

The teams now have 30 minutes to make a dish to present to Chef Ramsay. The Red Team comes up with a fall dish right away, but the Blue Team struggles to come up with an idea for their ingredients. Meanwhile, the Red Team starts cooking and Barbie keeps coming up with ideas on cooking the food, but Dana keeps telling her to get the lamb down. Despite the tension, she gets it done and Kimmie said the lamb looks good. The Blue Team comes up with a plate and time runs out and time for Chef Ramsay to taste. For the Red Team, Chef Ramsay said good cook on the lamb and it is perfect. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and needed more attention. For the Blue Team, Chef Ramsay said the sushi roll is delicious and the puree is tough one to get right, but they nailed it. The chicken is overcooked. The winning team is the Blue Team!

For winning, the Blue Team will be spending the next 24 hours in Las Vegas and staying at the Paris Las Vegas hotel right above Chef Ramsay's restaurant. Robyn is ecstatic for winning her first challenge on the Blue Team. For losing, the Red Team will be slow-roasting the pork all night for the dinner service the next night, which is pulled pork. The Blue Team heads to Vegas and gets the VIP treatment, with food and drinks in their high roller room and then head out to meet Carrot Top. Meanwhile, the Red Team starts roasting the pig and the grill has an alarm set every hour to go off that shrieks through the whole dorm, which has the women up all night.

It is time for prep and the Red Team is tired, but trying to pull through. The Blue Team comes back and starts prep and Robyn is a little lost, as they run things different on the Blue side. Chef Ramsay comes in and tells them they will have special guests at the Chef's Table tonight are American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze and Season 10 finalist Haley Reinhart will be on the Blue Team's side and on the Red Team's side will be soccer great David Beckham.

Hell's Kitchen opens and the guests arrive. The teams start out with appetizers. Clemenza sends up watery scallops and Chef Ramsay sends them back. He tries again and nails them, as apps start heading out for the Blue Team. The Red Team struggles with the flatbread for the Beckhams, but the third time is the charm and they serve them. Meanwhile, the Blue Team struggles with the flatbread and Robyn takes over and gets them out. The Red Team finishes their apps with no issues, as Tiffany nails the scallops. Robyn takes over the Blue Team and is calling out times and orders, which impresses Brian. Royce then sends out bad Beef Wellington, which Chef Ramsay calls him out for it. He then calls all the men to the backroom and tells them to have a meeting and come back with a better attitude. That leaves Robyn in the kitchen all alone. While the Blue side is waiting for their entrees, the Red Team has served half of their entrees already. Then Tiffany screws it up, as she serves cod instead of Sea Bass. She goes back to fix it and starts cooking more cod...apparently she doesn't know the difference. She fixes it and the entrees continue to head out.

The men come back for the Blue Team and despite his pep talk, Royce sends up dry pork chops and Clemenza sends up burnt cod. Chef Ramsay is over the Blue Team. Barbie gets a perfect run on meat and the entrees are heading out without issues. She serves up a pork chop that David Beckham loves. They are two entrees away from finishing dinner service. Chef Ramsay calls back entrees and Royce said it will be ten minutes.

The Red Team completes their dinner service, but the Blue Team has 11 tickets to go. Chef Ramsay calls the Red Team to come over and help finish the Blue Team dinner service. Tiffany starts complaining about how the Blue Team does it, which ticks off the Blue Team. Christina takes over and gets the dinner service done. Obviously the Red Team is the winner tonight. They must head back to the dorms and come back with two names up for elimination.

The Blue Team discusses it and they are all going between Clemenza, Brian and Royce. Robin is torn because it is her first time on the Blue Team and doesn't know who to nominate. They come back to Hell's Kitchen with their nominees, which are Royce and Clemenza. They head down and get a chance to defend themselves. Chef Ramsay tells them both to take off their jackets. He sends Royce home and then gives Clemenza a new, clean jacket and tells him to keep it clean this time, so he is safe!
