Twenty-seven seasons and still going strong! Tomorrow night, seven strangers will move into a house and get to know each other on the latest installment of The Real World. This time around, the group will head to the beautiful St. Thomas and live on their own island! RealityWanted grabbed a sneak peek of the premiere episode and then sat down with roomie Brandon Swift to get to know him a little bit better and get a little dirt on the new season.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Have you tried out for The Real World before?
A. Brandon: Actually, this is the first year I've tried out for The Real World. One of my friends... she was trying out and she asked me to go for moral support. I forgot that I told her I would! I went down and I got tired of waiting in line for so many hours. I was like, "I might as well try out." They liked me, I came back for another interview, she didn't, and the rest is history!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You must have been pumped when you found out you were going to St. Thomas.
A. Brandon: I was so excited! We left at the end of February and when we got back, it was the end of May. I've heard so many wonderful things about St. Thomas. I was super excited.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Now, this season, you guys literally live on your own island. Did you get to interact with other people besides your roommates?
A. Brandon: By the time we were done there, everyone was calling me the mayor of St. Thomas. I built a lot of strong relationships inside the house, but outside the house as well. You can call for a boat and leave a lot of the time. Some of the closest friends I made... I could go out there right now and I have ten different places I could stay at. I was cool with everybody.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: On the premiere, it looks like you got along well with LaToya. Would you say you bonded with her the most, initially?
A. Brandon: I mean... we hit it off initially. I probably hit it off the most with Brandon. He was one of the first people I met. I had more time with Brandon and Laura before everybody else came.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Speaking of Brandon, he seems to keep to himself a bit. Are people leaving him out?
A. Brandon: See, that's the thing. One thing you don't see is that when that started happening, and I saw him slowly starting to separate himself from the group, I'd go talk to him. He was doing that to himself and I made that clear. It wasn't like that. The type of person I am, I have so many different types of friends. I kick it with everybody. I had a sneak peek party this weekend in New Jersey. I barely drank and just made sure everyone else was having a great time. I want everyone to feel included and I made a conscious effort to make him feel comfortable.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How would you rate the drama we're going to see this season?
A. Brandon: Ooh, the drama! I don't like drama. There's gonna be some drama, you're gonna see the typical situations arise but you'll see some very unique ones as well. Sometimes people wanna focus on every word you say... be ready for the drama! You're on your own island. You can't walk off. Why? Because there's a body of water! That definitely plays a role into the drama.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Without giving anything away, are you still close to all of your roommates?
A. Brandon: Honestly, I could probably pick up the phone and talk to any one of my roommates. I will say this. I do talk to other people a lot more than I talk to others. I knew it was gonna be like that before we got back.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What do you want people to know about you?
A. Brandon: I want people to know the fact that I really am outgoing and energetic. I'm very loyal to the people I care about. I like to have a good time but at the same time, I always keep it real and won't sacrifice other people's feelings to have my triumph. That's gonna play a huge, huge, HUGE role this season. I really cared about exploring St. Thomas and the Virgin Islands.
