Hell's Kitchen Season 10

by Todd Betzold

The Blue Team has lost two chefs in the first two episodes of Hell's Kitchen. Tonight, how will they fare when they serve up classic American fare? Can they finally send a woman home? Will they finally be able to finish a dinner service?

The Red Team comes back with tensions blaring. Robyn is ticked that Barbie through her and Kimmie under the bus in front of Chef Ramsay and the boils over afterwards. The fighting continues, as Barbie wakes up early and does the dishes, but proceeds to bang her feet on the ground as she does it. This sets off Robyn and Tiffany, who both threaten to snap Barbie's neck off...get it together girls.

Chef Ramsay calls on the phone and interrupts the fighting. He orders everyone to get their jackets on and meet him downstairs. They head downstairs and see a dining room full of people singing "America the Beautiful." Come to find out, they are all people that just earned citizenship to the United States and in their honor, the chefs will prepare an all-American meal. The first team to complete their side of the dining room wins the challenge.

The challenge: prepare an all-American meal for 16 new United States citizens. The menu consists of a California Cobb Salad appetizer followed by a choice of three entrées: Nebraska Beef Sliders, a thin New York-style pizza or Wisconsin Grilled Cheese sandwich.

For the Blue Team, they are anxiously waiting for Royce to finish the Cobb Salad so they can get started on the entrees. For the Red Team, Barbie is waiting for no one as she gets started on the pizzas. Chef Ramsay calls her out asking why she is starting the pizzas when no salads have been served yet. Barbie says her bad. Robyn takes control and says all Cobb Salads need to go out before they work on entrees. The salads all get out and they are now onto their first entrée.

Meanwhile, the Blue Team has yet to get any salads out. Royce sends out his first salad and Chef Ramsay calls the Blue Team over. Royce put mushrooms on the salad, which is a no-no. Clemenza is pissed and takes control of the salads. Guy and Clemenza come to the rescue and salads start going out to the dining room.

The women try to get their first table of entrees out. Kimmie is working on pizzas while Barbie is to garnish them. Pizzas are ready, no garnish. Barbie is running around to all different areas of the kitchen and Kimmie is about to eat her alive. The first pizzas go out and Chef Ramsay calls the Red Team together. They have served up burnt pizzas. He makes them eat the burnt pizzas. Chef Ramsay kicks Barbie off the pizzas.

Clemenza works on the pizzas for the Blue Team, which he feels is right up his alley. He brings up the first pizza and it is served up uncooked. The Blue Team is now stalled and waiting on pizzas. The Red Team gets in a groove and is sending out entrée after entrée. Clemenza gets the pizza station rolling and now they are depending on Brian to serve up the burger station. Of course, first burgers that come out are raw.

Patrick helps out Brian on the burgers. The first ones he sends out Chef Ramsay says are cooked perfect. Meanwhile, the Red Team is wrapping up their entrees. One more pizza and Danielle gets it out and the Red Team wins again. Despite all the fighting that they do, this is the third challenge in a row they have won! The Blue Team gets some assistance in finishing up their challenge, as the Red Team helps them complete their entrees.

For winning the challenge, Chef Ramsay is flying the Red Team on a private jet to San Diego to visit the most amazing safari. They head out to their jet, as Chef Ramsay tells the Blue Team they need a leader. Patrick steps up and says he will do it. For losing, the Blue Team will be heading to the Ballona Wetlands to do some hard, demanding manual labor.

The Red Team heads out on the jet drinking champagne with Chef Ramsay while the Blue Team cuts down trees at the wetlands. The women check out the animals and then share dinner with Chef Ramsay. During dinner, Barbie apologizes to the women for waking them up that morning...is it sincere or staged for Chef Ramsay? They also made an oath during dinner to Chef Ramsay that they would finish the next dinner service.

Time for dinner service and Patrick is taking control for the Blue Team, but the other chefs feel he is just giving orders and not helping at all. Tonight, one person from each team will be working as a server. For the Red Team, it will be Tiffany and for the Blue Team it will be Don. To help inspire Royce for the Blue Team, Chef Ramsay calls his boss, Ralph Pagano (a.k.a. Season 1 runner-up). Ralph gives Royce a pep-talk, but will it help?

The diners arrive and dinner service has begun. Royce sends up risotto, which Chef Ramsay says is great. The Blue Team is off to a great start on appetizers. For the Red Team, Dana screws up the spaghetti for appetizers. Meanwhile, out in the dining room, Don is struggling with his spelling and can't fill the tickets out properly.

The Blue Team continues to kick butt on the appetizers, as they keep sending them out smoothly. Time for the entrees and Chef Ramsay asks how long and Clemenza says 20 minutes then 15 minutes then 10...he has no clue. Clemenza sends out the entrees and Chef Ramsay says they are done perfect and now the bar is set high for him.

Back to the Red Team and Dana tries to redeem herself with the spaghetti. She sends out perfect spaghetti, so the women are back on track. Barbie tries her hand, yet again, on the scallops. Chef Ramsay calls the Red Team over and Barbie has failed again on the scallops.

The Blue Team hits a wall with the entrees, as Clemenza and Patrick have raw food. Meanwhile, the Red Team starts sending out appetizers steadily, after Christina takes over scallops from Barbie. They start on entrees, as Briana and Kimmie take on the meat stations. Briana keeps burning the fish and finally sends out only a portion of fish, which sets Chef Ramsay off.

Clemenza runs out of Beef Wellington and a table of U.S. Marines waiting for that, so Chef Ramsay sends him out to the dining room to fix the problem. The Marines will take N.Y. Strip. The Red Team finally send out entrees, but Roshni didn't have the garnish complete and they must redo it. The Blue Team starts sending out entrees, but the third attempt for entrees fails again for the Red Team, so the dumplings are cold. Fourth attempt for entrees fails again, as the Beef Wellington is raw and he kicks the Red Team out of the kitchen...the women did not live up to their promise. The Blue Team successfully finishes dinner service and is named the winning team of the night. Finally a victory for the men!

The Red Team heads back to discuss who will be put on the chopping block. Briana nominates herself, since she did screw up the entrees, and all the women agree. The other vote is a mix between Barbie, for screwing up the scallops, and Dana, for screwing up the spaghetti and getting the Red Team off to a slow start. They come back into the kitchen to announce their nominees. The first nominee is Briana because of the cod. The second nominee is Barbie because of the scallops. Chef Ramsay agrees that the two women should be there, but thinks there should be one more down there with them. He calls down Roshni and tells her that she is over her head. They all defend themselves, but in the end Chef Ramsay sends home Briana, which is shocking, because he doesn't think she has the fight in her.
