This my first time watching The Real Housewives of New York. I am used to the Jersey ladies, so I am excited to see what the housewives from the Big Apple bring to the table!  This is a good time for me to come in on the show, because they did a cast shake up last season. Here is a summary of the new ladies that joined the show:

Aviva Drescher
I'm not sure what to think of her personality yet, but she is definitely a strong woman. She lost her leg in an accident when she was just 6 years old, but from the looks of things, she hasn't let that slow her down. An interesting point that is sure to bring the drama later in the season is that both Sonja and LuAnne have dated her ex - husband, Harry.

Heather Thomson
She seems genuinely nice and she's able to see through the BS. She is in fashion and has worked for the likes of P. Diddy, Beyonce and Tina Knowles, and Jennifer Lopez. She now owns her own company, Yummie by Heather Thomson.

Carole Radziwell
She seems like a woman who knows how to take a negative and turn it into a positive. She lost her husband to cancer, and turned that experience into her New York Times best seller, What Remains. She doesn't have any children and admitted that she hates when women talk about their offspring too much.

Sonja threw a big party for friends. Aviva felt awkward at the party because she had suspicions that Sonja slept with her ex-husband instead of just being his close friend. LuAnne wasn't too happy to see Ramona show up to the party because of past remarks Ramona made about her parenting skills. In an effort strangle the elephant in the room she attempted to reconcile (?) with Ramona before things got too awkward. Ramona ended up thwarting that attempt, and walked away from her LuAnne, but by the end of the episode she was calling LuAnne and threatening her.

Ramona seems like a real mean girl, between calling Sonja out for referring her ex-husband as her husband in front of a table full of guests, threatening LuAnne and talking about her kids, there seems like we can expect plenty of drama surrounding her.

Based on the season preview, it seems the other ladies have plenty of spats as well. I look forward to it!
