The Celebrity Apprentice Season 5

by Todd Betzold

Lisa finally took down her arch nemesis last week when Dayana finally was fired on The Celebrity Apprentice...now it is time for Arsenio to have meltdown #2. Also, there will be two celebrities fired tonight!

Lisa and Clay come back happier than ever to finally have Dayana gone...Lisa then starts mocking Teresa, which makes her think that now that Dayana is gone Teresa is Lisa's next target...we shall see.

Time for today's task: create a four-page ad campaign for the new CHI Touch Screen hair dryer made by Farouk that could appear in Elle Magazine. They will be judged on brand messaging, print ad campaign and overall finish. The project managers this task will be Lisa for Team Forte and Teresa for Team Unanimous. The winning project manager will receive $100,000 for their charity.

The executives come in to talk with the teams...they said they are sexy, but never vulgar. Lou Farouk keeps mentioning how in love he is with Aubrey's hair, so they must use it in their campaign.

Team Unanimous meets and tries to come up with a concept and of course Aubrey is taking control. She comes up with models doing yoga with futuristic hair with futuristic lighting to bring it into the future with this new product...Teresa likes the idea. Lisa comes up with an idea of more than just a pretty face, of using models that have a different story from what you see in the picture.

One member from each team will negotiate for which models they wanted to use for their campaign...Team Unanimous wanted a red-headed model since Fourak was in love with Aubrey's hair and they wanted a guy model. Team Forte had no opinion on the models...they all were fierce. So, Lisa and Teresa meet to negotiate for models. Teresa says the four that they want and Lisa decides to fight her on it so they don't get the models they want...Lisa is owning her right now, bitchy or not. The other team members are listening in and Clay is cracking up and Arsenio and Aubrey are getting ticked.

Teresa breaks down and settles for keeping the red-head, but taking two guys. Arsenio and Aubrey are not happy...they don't need two guys, especially one guy that has a crew cut. Eric Trump comes in and Aubrey takes over for explaining the concept, which she did ask Teresa if it was ok...she has to show off for the huger ups.

The models come in for Team Forte and they pair up the models with the concept they will be using, so now Clay is getting on board with the concept. Lisa then goes out shopping for clothes for the models...she brings a model with her to help with the clothes, since neither her nor Clay have any fashion sense. Lisa loves shopping for a size 0!

For Team Unanimous, Aubrey is on the phone trying to get wardrobe and models brought in to make up for Teresa's inability to negotiate. Teresa is still angry about Lisa and her negotiating, so she is saying Lisa messed with the wrong person.

The models arrive for Clay and they all start coming at him...how do they want to the make-up, how is the set designed and so on...he kept saying they will decide when Lisa gets there...he is overwhelmed and says no direction.

Arsenio decides to get in his wheelhouse and he helps the photographers. Then Aubrey decides (reluctantly) to step up and offer herself to be one of the models for the campaign. So then the red-headed model arrives and they have to send her home because they decided to go with Aubrey...the model is not happy. No one on set seems to know that Teresa is the project manager.

Clay decides to get the photos started since Lisa is still not back from shopping...she finally arrives. They get some clothes on a model and put her in front of the camera since they are running behind. Clay is working with the photographers and models while Lisa sits and eats. Clay is upset because they have no clue who is project manager on set as well. Donald Trump, Jr. comes in and Lisa gives him the concept and he is worried it is too deep to be understood in a print campaign.

Team Unanimous starts on their photos and Teresa is saying she has a keen idea for what photos and poses work. Then Aubrey gets her time in front of the camera...of course she thinks she does amazing and is Elle Magazine's red-headed bombshell. Teresa comments that with only five people left it is time for them all to step up and Arsenio has done nothing, which is true.

Time for the presentations: Team Unanimous is up first...Teresa starts the presentation and does a horrible job...she can't read off a note card. Aubrey and Arsenio have their time and do a very good job and then Teresa awkwardly ends it. Farouk seemed to really enjoy the ads. Time for Team Forte...Lisa and Clay do a very good...they have a lot of information on their ads, which could hurt them. The executives talk and they loved the presentation of Team Unanimous, but their ads lack information...the images are very good. For Team Forte, they said the pictures are dated, but they did give very good information...they loved they focused on the Elle reader.

Time for the boardroom: Trump gets into the fact if Lisa outsmarted Teresa and they both defend their sides. The teams each look at the other team's ads. Clay says he doesn't know what they are advertising...just holding a hairdryer. We quickly get to the results...positives and negatives for both, but the winning team is Team Forte...Lisa is a winner!

And time for Arsenio's meltdown...this could get crazy. Things start out slow, but then Aubrey said if they would have won the negotiations then they would have won (which is not true, because the ads still lacked information). Teresa says Arsenio should be fired because he played it safe. He says he shot some of the pictures, which Teresa is not capable of. The fighting has started...Arsenio is claiming he did all this work, but it was never shown during the task. Teresa says he played it safe...Arsenio says no one knew who was project manager, which is true because people were asking Arsenio and Aubrey who the project manager was. Arsenio thinks Teresa may be over her head as the numbers dwindle. Because she is the project manager and her presentation was not good, Teresa is fired.

As the final four are celebrating their victories, the receptionist calls and Trump wants all four of them back in the boardroom. Trump congratulates them and tells them they will be interviewing with last year's winner John Rich and finalist Marlee Matlin. They will consult with Trump afterwards and two people will be fired.

Trump meets with John and Marlee to discuss the interviews and then we have flashbacks from the interviews. Marlee said Aubrey was nervous and she questioned her authenticity for being there. John said Aubrey seemed to be a chess player and she tried to play him...he questioned how much money she raised. Marlee said Clay is very sweet, but not sure if he is a leader or a follower. Marlee says Clay played the game safely since he was only project manager twice. John questions the number of times he has been project manager and why he hasn't stepped up more times.

John says you feel good around Arsenio, but he has this flip side to him. He questioned the amount of money he raised and said he didn't look tired. Marlee asks about the charity and then asks how he got along with the other players. He says he fought with Aubrey and called her names and she was disappointed by that, but she tells Trump if he dealt with it and apologized she is fine with it. For Lisa, Marlee said she has a lot of passion and John says she is a tough lady and being a touring comedian it takes a tough person to do that. John seemed to be all about Lisa and was on the same page with her...asked if she was the strongest left and she said hell yes. Marlee asks about her emotions and crying in the boardroom...she tells Trump her major weakness is her control of her emotions. John says one thing to succeed in life is to have people form an opinion of you and Lisa has that.

Now time for the final four to meet with Trump...we are close to the end, so will they get to the firing tonight? He says he took John and Marlee's advice, but it is ultimately his decision. Trump asks them how they liked their interviews. He asks Lisa why she should be in the finals...she defends her ways. Marlee and John loved her and her passion, but questioned her ability to control her emotions and so does Trump, so Lisa is fired....ugh! One more will be fired, but that won't happen until next week...will it be Aubrey, Arsenio or Clay?
