"A Family of Spirits"

Bube's Brewery - Mount Joy, PA

The building that encompasses Bube's Brewery is fantastically architected inside and out.  When you walk into this place you are immediately taken back about 100 years.  The owner Al Bube died in the brewery in 1908 but the bar and hotel has been passed down through the family tree and is still in full operation.  An apparition of an old man with a white beard has been spotted many times and apparently fits the description of Al Bube.  Bottles have been thrown at the workers, people's hair as been tugged, and black shadows are common place.  A young girl, who told a guest her name was "Emily," is said to appear from time to time but in a spiritual form.  It should also be noted that the Bube's had two daughters that were classified as paranoid/schizophrenic and lived for 15 years in the house before it's conversion to a hotel.  Of course what old building wouldn't be complete without a creepy catacomb 43 feet below street level?

Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson started their investigation in the hotel bar, a fine place to start I must add.  Oil lamps are said to move to different locations in the bar and go out even though plenty of oil remains.  As they began their EVP session, a male voice caught their attention and they noticed one of the lanterns went out.  When they replayed their audio they caught an EVP that said in German, "Blow it out."  That's good enough for me.  Another EVP would catch a dark, hoarse voice saying "Pick up a drink."  They headed up to the bedroom that housed the main family.  A grunt followed by a female voice got Jason's attention.  An EVP would later reveal a young girls voice saying "Hide in the basement!" They could not get any more interaction so they headed downstairs to the catacomb and felt there may be some residual haunting going on down there but could not pick out any particular instance to back up the claims of the workers and guests.

Amy Bruni and Adam Berry headed to the bar area in the brewery itself to see if they could catch any of the shadows that have been reported by the workers or catch objects on the bar moving by themselves.  They knocked three times and asked for it to be repeated.  On cue, three knocks were returned.  Britt Griffith would join Adam in this area and their equipment did seem to go off in response to questions they were asking.

One last occurrence to note was the sound of a glass being thrown and broken in the bar area while Jason and Grant were investigating there.  The sound was loud enough to be heard throughout the building and at least the audio was caught.  What was strange about this occurrence was that there was no broken glass to be found where the noise came from.  There is paranormal activity going on in this place and I would highly suggest not staying overnight alone.

Boston House - Reisterstown, MD

The lady of the house, Kristen Boston, claims that since she has become pregnant, paranormal activity has escalated in her 18th century farmhouse.  She has been scratched and her husband has been pushed while climbing the stairs.  Both have seen shadow figures and have responded to questions coming from neither of them.  One of the creepier instances came when Kristen noticed a man and a woman in period clothing starting to get undressed in her bedroom as if they lived there.  She claims this occurrence was a minute long and had happened on two occasions.  Another time she opened her eyes in bed only to see a man's face in front of her that she did not know.  While the team was setting up, Amy noticed a camera she set up continuing to collapse itself.  She fixed it twice before it stayed how she left it.  When things are occurring while the team is setting up with all the commotion and lights on, that is usually a good sign of things to come.

Jason and Grant were the first to investigate the house.  They started upstairs and noticed/heard something walking on the stairs and then the feeling that somebody was gripping the rail.  An EVP was later recorded that seemed to say "Forgiven" and another that said "Hello."

Amy Bruni and Britt Griffith were sent up to further investigate one of the bedrooms.  Amy decided to use the flashlight technique in which she lays out some flashlights and tries to get whatever spirit may be around to respond to her questions be turning the flashlights on or off.  She left one flashlight on and asked who ever may be there to turn the flashlight off, it went off.  She then asked for one of the flashlights to be turned on, and the same flashlight was turned back on followed by a second.  She did ask a few more questions and the flashlights did turn on and off but it was a bit sporadic.  Either way, something was trying to respond to their questions.

Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango headed to the main floor, specifically the sun room, where multiple shadows have been reported.  They both concluded that the windows in the room, especially at night, could cause a shadow figure light reflection from those in the room because of the lighting.

An interesting item that Jason and Grant mentioned was that the Boston's have a HEPA air filter running and these devices can stimulate paranormal activity because the ionized air does give energy to spirits.  Just a note for those using those things, you could be inviting some unwanted guests.  Paranormal activity is present at the Boston's house and there isn't much they can do about it.  Sleep well everyone!
