Survivor: One World

Nothing is more annoying on Survivor than watching people who are too afraid to make a move in the game. That seems to be the recurring theme this season. From the guys letting Colton bully everyone, to Jay feeling so safe he stepped down from an immunity challenge, to what went down last night, I think I have laryngitis from all the screaming I've done at my television.

Troyzan is pissed... and rightfully so. Not only did his alliance betray him but he doesn't have anyone in the game anymore. Suddenly it's eight against one and even Leif and Tarzan can't seem to look him in the face. Following the last tribal council, Troyzan tries to stir the pot among the women and turns his attention to Christina first but Alicia jumps in and shuts him down.

The fighting will have to wait because it's time for one of the best parts of Survivor - the auction! Everyone was given $500 and here are the ridiculous prices everyone paid for a little bit of comfort.

Donuts and iced coffee ($160 to Chelsea)
Chips, guacamole, and a margarita ($400 to Sabrina)
Protein shake with bananas ($100 to Leif)
Shower with shampoo and toothbrush ($40 to Kim)
BLT, chips, and iced tea ($180 to Kat)
Chocolate and peanut butter ($240 to Kim)
Letters from home ($500 each to Alicia and Tarzan)
Advantage in immunity ($420 to Troyzan)
A cake for the entire tribe ($160 to Kat)

You knew Troyzan was going to wait until some kind of note or advantage was revealed. He even gave up letters from home, which was very difficult for him. Can anyone figure out why Christina didn't outbid him for it? Not only can't she make a move to go against her alliance where she's clearly the 6th one out, she can't even make a move FOR her alliance. So disappointing.

Back at camp, the race to find an idol that has never been said to exit is on! Since Kim already has one, it seems improbable that another one would be put in play but most people don't know that. Troyzan pulls the old "I'll pretend to stuff something in my pocket" trick and Chelsea believes it! Let me tell you. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't believe anybody has anything unless it was physically shown to me but that's easier said than done when you consider they're exhausted, hungry, and paranoid.

Troyzan's advantage in the immunity challenge is that he doesn't have to go through the first round in a three round competition. The other eight players have to untangle a knot in order to move on and Kim, Troyzan, and Christina are the first ones done. In the second round, coconuts are bounced to break targets and this time, it's Troyzan and Tarzan to move on. First, is anyone else shocked that suddenly, Tarzan is good in challenges and second, could Troyzan dial it down a bit with his pre-celebration? He still needs jury votes at the end of this... IF he makes it to the end.

The last round is to fire coconuts via slingshot at targets and it came close (TOO close) but Troyzan pulls out a victory. The women seem upset but I can't figure out why because they can just vote out Tarzan or Leif and never make waves. Maybe the looks on their faces just say they don't want to hear any more of Troyzan carrying on about how nobody can beat him.

Back at camp, Troyzan tries to pull in Leif, Tarzan, Christina, and Alicia to go after Kim at tribal council. Don't these people understand they're all going next? No, they don't because as much as he tries to make a convincing case, these four just cannot stand up for themselves and move up the totem pole in the game.

Sabrina tries to tell Troyzan the harsh truth about his position in this game at tribal but he just fires back calling her "Mrs. Truth" over and over which was actually pretty funny. When the votes are read, it's Leif who is going home. Did he think that if he made it to the end, he would even get one vote? What has he done? What has Tarzan or Christina done? At least Alicia teamed up with Colton for five seconds. That's gotta earn her... well, no votes as well should she make it to the end.

It's Kim's season to lose. Ho hum.  Unless... Troyzan goes on an immunity spree a la Terry Dietz from Survivor: Panama.  Fingers crossed for some excitement!!
