Survivor: One World

by Gina Scarpa

Following a major storm on Survivor: One World, the women of Salani are hurting. One thing the contestants never can truly prepare for is just how tough it can be to battle the elements. The men have a little soft spot and let Salani head over to their camp to warm themselves by the fire. It's tough when someone's pain and misery is right in front of your face to be a tough guy.

For the reward challenge, players have to memorize a series of items and duplicate them for Jeff. The winning tribe will win fishing gear and hopefully, that tribe knows how to use it! The men need to play some Brain Age when they get back home because the women easily take this one. The battle (or lack there of) between Kat and Troyzan was pretty hilarious though - it only took them 7 times before one of them scored a point.

Afterwards, the men's generosity starts to wear thin when the women return for some embers for their fire. At this point, what's in it for them to continue helping Salani?

Colton and Jay sit out of the immunity challenge, where one team member must lead blindfolded players through an obstacle course and retrieving puzzle pieces. There's always a caller who ruins it for the tribe and this time, it's Sabrina. Her teammates are screaming for her to give them direction, while others fall right over obstacles as they wander around. However, she makes a serious comeback when she demolishes the lead that Manono had and completes her puzzle first. Crisis averted!

Back at camp, Colton looks to get rid of Bill but it's a bit unnecessary to call him "ghetto trash" and say that he should go kill himself. It's Survivor. Take it down a notch. Can I just say it's a rare day in Survivor when the younger people find themselves on the outs with their tribe?  Matt and Bill are on the chopping block, while Jay has no choice but to go with the majority.  Troyzan makes the case to Colton to get rid of Matt because he can't be trusted and is a serious physical threat.

At Manono's first tribal council, it's clear that there's still a division between Matt and Troyzan, while Bill seems super excited about the vote.  Clearly, he hasn't heard that he's up for elimination?  Colton doesn't play the idol, feeling he's safe, and a good feeling it was.  Matt's the first guy to leave the game.  Before he left, he talked about making moves that sets the ball in motion.  Was it the right move, though?
