The Bachelor 16

The women of The Bachelor have arrived in Panama and set up shop at Trump Ocean Club as they await the arrival of date cards. Ben personally delivers the first one, for Kacie B, and the note asks her to only pack three things. When the pair arrive via helicopter (of course) to a desert island, she reveals that she brought a stuffed monkey, a corkscrew, and a bag of candy. Well, thank god for Ben's machete, fishing net, and matches or they'd be dead in about ten minutes.

After a measly meal of fish and coconut, they had back to the mainland for a real dinner. Knowing that she has to open up, Kacie decides to reveal that she had an eating disorder in high school. This doesn't really seem like the appropriate time to talk about that but Ben appreciates her honesty, and her undeniable charm, and she ends the date with a rose in hand.

A group date card arrives for Nicki, Lindzi, Casey S, Courtney, and Jamie which can only mean one thing: Blakeley and Rachel are heading out later on the always awkward two on one date. The group takes a boat ride, courtesy of Captain Ben, down the Chagres River and stop at a village. There, the locals provide them with clothing and Courtney seems to think it's appropriate to go topless. Her upstaging continues at a party afterwards, where she disrobes down to a bikini and swims around a pool as Jamie desperately tries to make a connection with Ben. Lindzi ends up standing out the most and Ben reassures her that there is something real between them with a rose. Of course, Courtney doesn't like this one bit and invites Ben up to his room but he blows her off. Come on. You know you smiled a little, watching her sit there alone.

For the two on one date, Ben takes an overconfident Blakeley and a cautious Rachel salsa dancing. It's clear that Blakeley is the better mover, but she often takes it too far and too sexual. There has to be more between them than just an attraction. At dinner, she steals him away where she cries and shows him a scrapbook she made in dedication to him. It's all a bit too much and Ben decides that the feelings aren't mutual. After handing Rachel the rose, a shocked and despondent Blakeley is put in car and sent home. There goes her dream of a proposal which will only end approximately one year later as their breakup plays out on the covers of magazines nationwide. Ah, love...

Before the rose ceremony, Chris Harrison shows up unexpectedly at the hotel to pull Casey S aside. He's heard she's in love with someone else and dammit, he's not going to stand for that. Now, if this were Bentley , who intentionally led someone on and humiliated them in front of all of America, he'll stand by. But not this time, missy! He leads her straight to Ben, who of course, is pissed off at the news that she's thinking about someone back home and tells her to leave. She goes through unnerving fits of hysterical tears and then pulls herself back together almost instantly, only to break down again.

At the rose ceremony, Jamie decides that she finally needs to show Ben how she feels about him - so she leads him to an area alone, straddles him, and tries to teach him about the art of kissing. And you thought Kacey Kahl was awkward! Ben is clearly not feelin' it because after handing out roses to Nicki, Courtney, and Emily, he walks her out without so much as an explanation of why he was letting her go. I'm gonna say things went south when she instructed, "First our mouths will be closed..."
