Anthony Williams from Project Runway All Stars

Last night's episode of Project Runway All Stars was supposed to be a walk in the park for the designers, but some of the outfits on the runway showed the fact that some of the designers struggled through this challenge. Michael's "outfit" was more like a bathing suit and Jerell's outfit was a collage of things he seemed to throw together. Despite all that, Anthony Williams was sent home for an outfit non-deserving of being sent home. Today, he spoke to RealityWanted and reporters in a conference call about his experiences on Project Runway All Stars.

Q. You have a lot of celebrities watching the show, including some people who are fans of yours. How does that make you feel?
A. Anthony: I didn't realize I had celebrity people watching the show who are even possibly rooting for me. That's a great thing about Project Runway, the whole franchise. I think people, in general, get it. They just naturally gravitate, I don't know, to people like myself. I think it's awesome, whether they are celebrity or anybody, I think it's awesome they watch the show.

Q. What went through your mind when you were told when the clothes off your back challenge was explained to you? What were you thinking?
A. Anthony: I can't remember my initial thoughts, but I know I wasn't nervous about asking people for things. I think I was just nervous that I wouldn't get things that would be conducive for the design process. I wasn't nervous or apprehensive about haggling people, because clearly I love to do that.

Q. You ended up getting a lot of fabric off the street and then ended up not using much of it, so did you think you were taking a risk by not using the fabric from the street and do you think your elimination was justified because of that?
A. Anthony: To be perfectly honest with you, I know that people don't see the show because of the power of editing, but that challenge changed so many times...it was so inconsistent from the beginning. At the beginning it was 50% of your look, then it turned into on the runway you had to use 50% of your fabric and then it was Joanna Coles saying this is designing street-wear clothing, which it wasn't designing street-wear clothing it was just supposed to be inspired by the clothes you got from the people on the street. I know that Kenley also used 50% of her material as I did and when all the girls left the runway it was just like the writing was on the wall. It was just a perfect tv moment...how convenient that all the girls were safe in that moment.

Q. Obviously you would have liked to have won, but you are not there now. Is there anyone now you are really supporting that you would like to see succeed?
A. Anthony: If I had to name someone in particular, I would have to say Rami. Being in the experience, I think that a lot of people get edited to be a certain way, but to be there in person he was one of the most genuine people and he actually was a fighter. I've been watching the show and there's some people that come off really smug this time around and to know how hard he wanted it and how bad he wanted it and to see that he actually was putting the time and the work in, not just coasting by, I think he most definitely deserves to win.

Q. If the panel of judges were different, do you think you would have gone home with this challenge?
A. Anthony: I don't know. I guess I live in two different worlds. I live in a world of in that moment and then I'm kinda realistic about the fact that it's just a television show. Once I saw all the girls leave the runway it's like mentally I checked out. I didn't really think about what the judges were saying or anything anymore. The reality of it is between the replacements, also known as the new judges...between them, although I do think they are stunning and beautiful, after listening to what they had to say and then I had the wife-beater judging me (laughs), so whatever. Maybe Michael and Nina and Heidi would have judged differently, but you know the possibilities are endless. I'm glad that I got out when I did.

Q. What did you think of Kenley helping Kara sew in the workroom?
A. Anthony: I don't think anything is wrong with that. I think that it's a sad day when reality television has convinced the world that the only way to be competitive is to be conniving and create these alliances against other people. I don't think there is anything wrong with people helping each other. No matter who wins that show, you can't do whatever it is you think you want to do after winning that prize package, your gonna need a team of individuals to help you and the people who will probably help you someday may end up being your boss one day, but the reality of it is is that we all need to have help. I didn't think anything was wrong with that and I really thought it was so weird that the other people were so caddy and so bitter about us helping each other when in actuality it's none of your damn business...keep your thoughts to yourself.

Q. Todd, RealityWanted: I wanted to thank you for getting the man's shorts in the park on the episode.
A. Anthony: (laughs) Thank you. I did it for everybody in the world (laughs).

Q. Todd, RealityWanted: We did talk about celebrities and is there any certain celebrity you would like to design for?
A. Anthony: No, there really isn't. It's weird...I've tried to feed a lion to that question or whatever. I mean, I like Jennifer Hudson these days and I love Michelle Obama, but you know it's kinda like, I've dealt with celebrities. At this point, I like working with people who pay you. People that respect you, pay you. I'm not saying celebrities don't respect you, but it is extremely hard to squeeze a dime out of those wallets. I don't necessarily think of celebrities that I want to design for. I just want to design for people that are willing to accept my craft and my talents.
