Lauren Lee may have flown a bit under the radar for the viewers of The Biggest Loser, but the same was not true for her red team. When they lost this week's weigh-in, they blindsided her and sent her home, saying she had the best ability to succeed off the ranch. Quiet but strong, Lauren was deemed an athlete by Dolvett and finally started to believe it back in Maryland. Today, we got to know her a little better and find out more about her experience on The Biggest Loser.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What brought you to The Biggest Loser? Was there a moment that made you decide that you needed the show?
A. Lauren: My mom and I have always been a fan of the show. And this summer after graduating from school with my Masters, I knew I needed to change my lifestyle for the better if I wanted to help others. So when my sister emailed me about the open casting call for The Biggest Loser in DC, I knew that Mom and I needed to head down.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How difficult was it for you to be split up from your mom?
A. Lauren: It was hard; Mom and I tried out together thinking that we would be doing this together. But after Ali said that we would be on different teams, we both knew we had to take the positive road. It was still hard.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: We didn't get to see a whole lot of you on the show. What do you want people to know about you?
A. Lauren: While on the show, I tried to focus most of my energy on working out and learning as much as I can while on this amazing opportunity. I tried my best to stay out of the drama that would happen there. I would like people to know that I'm a very hard worker, and I always give 110% at what I do. I don't like drama and I try my best to stay away from it. I also want to thank everyone so much for their support and believing in me when I did not believe in myself.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Being on the show, you were exposed to many different types of workouts. What was your favorite one?
A. Lauren: My favorite was the ropes. They were so hard but it was a great workout. But now that I am home, I fell in love with running. It's just me and the road; I get to clear my mind. I love to run.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Why do you feel your team decided to send you home this week and why didn't they give you a heads up that it could be you?
A. Lauren: I guess my team knew that I could do it at home even if I did not think I could. They believed in me. This season is the season of NO excuses and I had to put mine behind me and move on after the ranch. I am working super hard and starting to believe in myself that I am the athlete that my team and Dolvett knew I was. I hope they saw how surprised and sad I was to see my name written down and now will give a little heads up to the next person. I wish my red team the best of luck! I want one of them to be the winner.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Dolvett told you that you were an athlete but you didn't believe it. Did running the half-marathon at home reaffirm in your mind that you were?
A. Lauren: Yes, running the half marathon was a big step for me. I was able to prove to myself that I am an athlete. And just wait til the finale because I'll have a rockin' athlete's body too!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the biggest lesson you learned on the show that you took home into your everyday life?
A. Lauren: To believe in myself! I know I still need to learn a lot more about diet and exercise but when I believe in myself, I can do anything.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Do you have a goal for finale night?
A. Lauren: I do have a goal for the finale night. I would love to be down to 130lbs and be the true athlete everyone saw in me day one.
