We are down to the Top 5 on The X Factor and tonight we get to see the acts each sing two songs as they fight for a chance in the semifinals.

The first songs by the singers tonight will be versions of dance music hits, which has most of the singers nervous to get out of their comfort zone. Up first is Melanie Amaro and she takes on Adele and does it really well. They put a dance mix behind the song, but she outshined the music and dancers and sang it beautifully.

Now it is time for Marcus Canty to prove he deserves to be here, after two weeks in the bottom two. They chose a great song for him and this is his style of music and he worked it up there. Marcus can entertain and I loved it.

My girl, Rachel Crow, hits the stage now and I just love her. She is so cute...she can sing...she has so much fun on that stage. It just puts a smile on my face to watch her. An upbeat song and she did great!

The last of the over 30s, Josh Krajcik, is up next and this should be interesting to see, because this is way out of his comfort zone. That was amazing...he took on Rihanna and I loved it. He took the song and made it his own...it was a great arrangement, unlike what Simon and L.A. stated.

Last up with their first song is Chris Rene. I just cannot get on board the Chris Rene train, sorry. It was a decent performance, but I just don't know how he is still here. He did write his own lyrics, but to me his voice is not strong.

So, they were supposed to sing the Pepsi Song Challenge and sing the song their fans chose for them, but there was an error in communication with those songs and they get moved back to next week. The singers found out about this last night, and now get to sing the song of their choice and have 24 hours to prepare for it.

Melanie is up first and let me tell you, if this girl is not in the finals then this show needs to be cancelled. She took on Adele and Whitney/Mariah tonight and was absolutely brilliant. It was a safe choice for her, but it gave me chills.

Can Marcus continue to strongly prove why he deserves to be here? He slowed it down and showed off his vocals again and I think he did an amazing job. It was simple and raw and I enjoyed it.

Now it is time for my girl...work it out Rachel. Not gonna lie, this started out rough for me and I was super nervous, but this girl worked it out again. She gave me goosebumps and showed off her vocals. Her smile should win the competition on its own.

Josh is up next and I feel he is going to wow me with this performance...he has been amazing lately. Listening to him, he sounds like someone you could hear on the radio and has his own style and I love it.

Chris is last of the night and he will be singing an original song he wrote, so this may be a great one, like when we fell in love with him in the auditions. I have to admit, I may have just taken a little step onto that Chris Rene train. This was amazing, raw, simple and enjoyable. I give him props for this performance.

Find out who will be sent home tomorrow night when The X Factor airs at 8/7c on Fox.
