Things kick off on tonight's episode of The Biggest Loser with a Thanksgiving temptation challenge... and the temptations are big! The prizes up for grabs are $500 per pound lost at the weigh in, a $25,000 home gym set, and a 3 lb advantage in this week's weigh in. However, in this challenge, it's not about what you eat, but the luck of the draw. Underneath each finished plate is a number and the player with the lowest number gets to choose their prize first.
Everyone immediately eats with the exception of Sunny and just as I was about to compliment her for staying strong, she follows the crowd and grabs a plate. Vinny, aka Mr. Lucky Pants, eats one dish, gets the lowest number (10), and takes the advantage on the scale. Becky gets the gym and Antone gets the money per pound. I'd be on that treadmill 18 hours a day!
During a workout session, Bob makes a bold and somewhat insensitive prediction that John will gain all the weight back after the finale because he refuses to celebrate his victories. Maybe it's just that John is so focused on winning that he's in tunnel vision mode.
After more workouts, a healthy Thanksgiving feast complete with warm and fuzzy thoughts, and a plug for The Biggest Loser cookbooks, it's time for a serious challenge with serious prizes. Up for grabs are: the ability to give an eliminated player The Biggest Loser meal plan for 6 months and have 6 months for yourself, $2500 to keep and $2500 to give to a current player, and a 1 lb advantage for yourself but a 1 lb disadvantage for someone else. In order to choose first, players will have to complete a one mile climb on Jacob's Ladder, which as they so aptly put it, is designed by Satan.
In first, John chooses the advantage but will choose who gets the disadvantage at the weigh in. In second, Sunny chooses the meal plan and gives the other one to Bonnie. In third, Ramon gets $2500 and shares the wealth with Vinny. Thanksgiving sure is good to The Biggest Loser contestants! So far tonight, every remaining player has won a prize.
At the weigh in, John decides to give the 1 lb disadvantage to Sunny, and the numbers on the scale go as follows:
John: -5 + -1 advantage (1.94%)
Antone: -8 (2.36%) = $4,000!
Vinny: -11 (4.18%)
Becky: -5 (2.75%)
Ramon: -5 (1.83%)
Sunny: -5 (1.93%)
That leaves Ramon and Sunny below the yellow line and as you might imagine, she's upset, especially since she lost by 0.01% to John. When everyone sits down to deliberate who should stay and who should go, Ramon says that he still has work to do here while Sunny makes the case that she did everything she needed to do in order to stay.
A tie in the deliberation room results in Ramon being sent home for having the lowest percentage of weight loss. When Antone casts the final vote to send Ramon home, he takes a shot at John for targeting Sunny and trying to send her home. The fair thing to do would've been to give it to Vinny, who already had a 3 lb advantage. Do you agree with John's decision?
