With everyone safe on last week's episode of The Amazing Race, the pressure is on for Liz and Marie, who arrived last at the pit stop. First up tonight - teams must make a trek through the jungle via elephant, which is pretty amazing! After that, it's a Road Block, where one team member must follow the sound of a flautist to a waterfall, then search the area for a clue.
Andy and Tommy continue to lead the pack and travel to a local shop, disassemble a traditional Thai spirit house, and deliver the pieces to a local temple. That part ends up being another Road Block, where only one person can put the spirit house back together and it can't be the same person who searched the waterfall. Tommy struggles to remember where everything goes, and he's not alone. Zac and Ernie have to go back as well to take a second look.
Kudos to Justin, who smartly had his taxi driver take pictures of the house on his phone for Jennifer to easily reassemble things. Meanwhile, Liz and Marie bring up the rear, completing their Speed Bump (washing and cleaning an elephant) and then get on their way to try to move up the totem pole.
Next, teams travel 550 miles (13 hours - yikes!) by bus to Bangkok and head to the Bangkok Noi Canal to feed the fish in order to get their next clue. At the bus station, Ernie and Cindy get into a fight with their driver after refusing to pay him in Thai money. Liz and Marie almost miss their bus after their driver takes too long to settle the amount owed with them. Those taxi drivers can really make or break your race!
After feeding the fish, it's right the pit stop, located at M.R. Kukrit Heritage House. Amani and Marcus end up checking in first and win a trip to Bali, with Bill and Cathi arriving right behind them. Ernie and Cindy check in third and do not receive a penalty for taking a first class bus to Bangkok. I bet Laurence and Zac were kicking themselves for getting off their initial bus for fear of a penalty! Justin and Jennifer arrive next, followed by Andy and Tommy, Laurence and Zac, and Jeremy and Sandy.
All the free cab rides in the world couldn't save Liz and Marie and they were eliminated from the race.
The Amazing Race airs Sundays at 8/7c on CBS.
