MasterChef Season 2

The competitors had to be quick on tonight's episode of MasterChef.

For the Mystery Box Challenge, they had surf and turf day as they were given jumbo shrimp, Alaskan king crab, crawfish, Buffalo Ribeye, Porterhouse Steak and short ribs to create an amazing dish in only 45 minutes. Work fast competitors!

The first dish the judges choose to taste is Adrien's dish, Short Ribs and Crab Salad with Black Garlic. The judges said he was ballsy for using short ribs and Chef Ramsay said it paid off, as the dish was delicious. Graham thought it was zingy and bright, but a little one-dimensional.

The judges choose Suzy's dish next, Prawn Bisque and Bison with Pan Gravy. The judges were impressed Suzy went simple and didn't try to overcomplicate things. Joe stated if she keeps cooking like this her stay in the competition would be much longer.

The last dish chosen had technique, insight and intellect, which was Jennifer's dish, Risotto with Short Ribs and Crab. Graham says the flavor is incredible and Chef Ramsay says it was phenomenal. He then proceeds to ask Christian to come up and taste it because his potatoes he tried to serve were so bland and this dish had amazing flavor.

Christian comes up and says it was good, but he has had better...the arrogance will never end and I also think it will keep him in this competition until the end. Chef Ramsay proceeds to yell at him about this arrogance, but we shall see if it sinks into Christian's thick skull.

The judges discuss and announce that for the third time, Jennifer is the winner of the Mystery Box Challenge. She heads to the pantry to decide what dish everyone will be cooking for the Elimination Test. The theme this week is all about the judges' childhoods. Jennifer is to choose between pizza, macaroni and cheese or tomato soup and grilled cheese for everyone to make an adult, gourmet version of their childhood memories.

They come out of the pantry and announce that Jennifer has chosen Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese for everyone to make today. They will have five minutes in the pantry and then, yet again, only 45 minutes to cook their dish...keep going fast competitors!

During the cooking, Christine is the only one who chose green tomatoes for her soup and Derrick seems to have gone a little too simple and may be outshined by his competitors. Suzy cuts herself and bleeds all over her board and must start from scratch while Ben tastes his grilled cheese, which he loves, but his soup is a disaster.

Up first is freshly cut Suzy, whose dish impresses the heck out of the judges, as she got rave reviews from all three. That trend doesn't continue as Adrien is told his dish is too rich and was way over the top, Christian is told his dish was a little dry for Graham and Ben was told his dish was one of his worst performances in MasterChef.

Tracy stops that trend, as Chef Ramsay says that her dish is dark, rich, and spicy but explodes. She got it right. It was gourmet and delicious. It continues as Jennifer is given rave reviews for her dish as well.

It ends on a sour note, as Chef Ramsay tells Derrick his dish missed the boat today and Joe tells Christine that her dish smells volatile and Graham said it was almost baby food-esque.

First, the judges announce the top two dishes, which will serve as team captains for the next team challenge. Those two dishes belong to Tracy and Suzy.

The bottom three dishes are announced: Christine (dish smelled volatile), Derrick (was simple and missed the boat today) and Ben (whose soup was a disaster). Chef Ramsay says that all three of them brought joy to the three judges, but this is where it gets difficult.

Ben is told his soup was below par, but he is staying. Down to Christine and Derrick. Both had highs and lows, but the person leaving is Christine. Sad to see her go...I'll miss her potty mouth! Chef Ramsay tells Derrick it is not over yet. He will also be leaving MasterChef tonight. I knew it...they sent home two tonight...had to make up for no one going home last night...down to six now...bring out the boxing gloves everyone!

MasterChef airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
