The Challenge: Rivals

by Gina Scarpa

Going into this week on The Challenge: Rivals, the guys are up for elimination and it's pretty clear that everyone wants CT and Adam out. Not only does everyone hate CT, but they're scared outta their minds to face him, too... and who wouldn't be? The guy is a maniac.

This week's challenge is both awesome and hilarious - it's called Car Crusher. The awesome part is that teams will use bulldozers to crush a car down to almost nothing and slide it under a wooden pole. The hilarious part is that they have to sit on each other's laps in order to do it. Did anyone else giggle at Nehemiah bouncing up and down on Evan?

As the winner of the last challenge, Jonna and Jasmine get to choose the order but they can't seem to get on the same page and Jasmine storms away. If they can't even have a simple conversation, how are they supposed to work together as a team?

The challenge isn't as easy as it seems and many teams DQ for either going out of bounds or having their car touch the pole: Brandon and Ty, Mandi and Jenn, Kenny and Wes, Sarah and Katelynn, Jonna and Jasmine, and Cara Maria and Laurel.

Mike and Leroy performed very well together, continuing to give the rookies a good name but CT and Adam are the winners of this challenge and are safe from the jungle. I can hear the hearts of Evan, Johnny, Kenny, and Wes break. Ev and Paula win for the girls and will each take home $1,000 for it. Who would've thought these two would ever work together so well?

Back at the house, it's a night of drunken fighting and antics. Apparently, Jonna has been talking smack about Camila and she doesn't like it one bit. When she calls Jonna "Jasmine", the you know what hits the fan. All three girls freak out on one another, Teresa gets involved, Sarah pulles Jasmine into a room where she punches and smashes a mirror to pieces, and an attempt for Camila and Jonna to talk it all out goes south. This is what happens when MTV gives you an endless supply of alcohol.

Kenny and Wes decide to call out Davis and Tyrie, opting not to go for Leroy and Mike. Feeling that everyone is just going to get on board with the pair, Tyrie says to just call it a done deal and doesn't wait for anyone else's input. Sucks for Davis that Tyrie can't play this game.

In the jungle, the challenge to stay in the game is to wrestle the other team out of a ring. It's not looking good for Wes and Kenny, as Tyrie boasts that he played college football for Nebraska. Either he's lying, kept the bench warm, or is out of shape because Kenny and Wes muscle their way to victory, defeating the Denver castmates three rounds in a row. Embarrassing.

At the house afterwards, Adam struggles with what to do with CT. He is his teammate and the only person who can help him win money at the end of this, but with everyone in the house hating on him, does Adam even have a shot?
