Survivor: Redemption Island

by Gina Scarpa

I've been waiting for a week to see what Matt's reaction would be when Andrea showed up at Redemption Island on Survivor. Before we get to that, we start things off tonight at Murlonio, where Natalie and Ashley celebrate being the last two girls in the game. Ashley wants to stick together but Natalie is blinded by her adoration for Rob. I have a feeling that Ashley's in trouble...

Okay, Redemption Island. Matt's not too excited and shoots down her "puppy dog eyes" every time she tries to throw them his way. Seems the showmance just isn't going to happen this season.

The next morning, Ashley cries to Jeff before the challenge gets started. She trusted people! Hey Andrea, Matt trusted YOU too. What goes around, comes around. In the duel, players have to move a handle through a long maze then put together a fairly complicated puzzle. Andrea immediately panics and complains through the maze while Ralph calmly finishes first. Mike finishes the puzzle first, followed by Matt and Andrea. Ralph's lead ended up being pointless and he heads to the jury. While most jury members look cleaned up at tribal, he'll probably look exactly the same! I'm just sayin' he's not coming in a polo shirt...

Holy drama back at camp. Phillip continues to play the part of the villain well (or just is the villain) and verbally attacks the girls over how much food everyone should eat. Rob's not a fan because that only drives the girls closer together so he starts to make a plan to get rid of Ashley. Ashley's plan is to blindside Grant, which only fuels his fire more to get her out.

In the immunity challenge, players have to use a series of fish hooks to retrieve puzzle pieces and create a puzzle that in the shape of a giant fish skeleton. To make things harder, they'll have to do it with one hand behind their back. Ashley throws a giant curveball when she wins the challenge, forcing Rob to make a different move. She also wins a reward, room service at camp, and chooses Natalie to share it with her.

At Murlonio, Rob decides to turn on Grant and blindside him at tribal. He approaches everyone else and the minions fall in line. However, Rob's also thinking of turning on Natalie. How does one guy get to make all the decisions?

On a side note, am I the only that wonders how much food rewards wreck the stomachs of those who win them?

At tribal, Grant, Rob, and Natalie all admit that they could be the target tonight... I mean, obviously. Phillip doesn't seem to be too worried but that's because he doesn't need to be. Rob says he's playing the game for his family and Grant breaks down talking about playing the game for his future wife.

Before we get to the votes - why is no one talking about getting Rob out?!

Murlonio comes together to blindside Grant and sent him to Redemption Island.  That may come back to haunt Rob.  I think all Survivor fans expect Grant to fully dominate at Redemption Island and come back into the game with a vengeance...

Don't miss the finale of Survivor: Redemption Island, this Sunday at 8/7c on CBS.
