Dancing With The Stars started the first elimination episode of with a very upbeat dance from our favorite professional dancers. The show didn't waste a beat starting off who was safe tonight and who wasn't.

 

They joined all the sports stars together for the first round. The first safe couple of the night was Kym and Hines. Joining them next week will be Cheryl and Rick. But Sugar Ray and Anna have been left to "sweat it out".

 

Chris Brown performed his hit song Yeah 3x on the show tonight. There was an adorable kid break dancer to start off the performance. I have to admit it Chris Brown does know how to dance and command attention to the dance floor.

 

The third couple safe tonight is Ralph and Karina, no surprise there. Kirstie and Maks is the 4th couple safe. Chelsea and Mark were told they too would be joining everyone as the 5th couple safe. This was a bit mean as it is customary that the 3rd couple announced is in jeopardy.

 

We were given an introduction to the new Dancing with the Stars Troop. The new members include Peta, Tristan, Ted, Nicole, Oksana and Kiki. The troop performed tonight and it definitely was an entertaining dance.

 

Romeo and Chelsie got good news tonight, as they are the 6th safe couple. Mike and Lacey were left to find out their fate later. Mike responded to this with a quick "ah man!"

 

Chris Brown performed his second song, Forever. It was a very Tron esque performance, light suits and all. The song switched to Beautiful People towards the end. It was a great performance for a dance show and fun to watch with the changing lights.

 

The 7th couple to return next Monday was Kendra and Louis. Joining them will be Petra and Dmitry. Wendy and Tony are in jeopardy and will join the other two couples.

 

With three couples in jeopardy, the hosts waste no time in informing Wendy and Tony that they don't have to worry any longer, they are the 9th safe couple. After several minutes of talking to the judges and discussing the remaining two couples we learn that Anna and Sugar Ray will return next week.

 

This leaves Lacey and Mike to be the first couple eliminated this season. Lacey made it far last season but was cut quite short this time. Mike was asked how he felt to be kicked off first along with past season's names, he replied, "I'm on the Mount Rushmore of bad dancers." It's good to see that he still has a good sense of humor.

 

 

Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
