Jane Bright from Survivor: Nicaragua

Last night, on Survivor: Nicaragua, Sash had a plan and that plan was to take Fabio out. Unfortunately for Sash and his alliance, Fabio won immunity meaning they either had to take out Dan or one of their own. For weeks, Jane had been a target after Marty pointed out that if she made it to the end, nobody would beat her. Many tribal councils later, his words were heard and her alliance sent her to the jury. Today, we spoke to Jane in an exclusive interview about her experiences in the game and how she feels about being betrayed.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What made you want to try out for Survivor? Were you a fan of the show?
A. Jane: Oh yeah! One night, I got a call from a friend and he told me I had to watch a show on tv called Survivor. I started watching it and I was like, "Man, this looks like fun!" I started applying and it was funny. My passport expired in April and that's when I applied.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You did a lot of preparation before heading in the game, didn't you?
A. Jane: I was running 3 miles a day, swimming 1-2 miles, and doing P90X. There's 68 steps in my house and I was running those. I got me a chin-up bar and I was doing chin-ups.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was there a target on your back before Marty went after you in that tribal council?
A. Jane: Before Marty called me out? No. Afterwards? Yes. I don't really know to this day why he targeted me so bad. In the very beginning, I tried to make an alliance with him and Jimmy Johnson and Tyrone. He just fluffed me off. Jill was always by his side like a puppy dog. When we would do challenges, nobody would ever say, "What are ya'll good at?" I don't think he ever took me serious. I just think he thought I was a Southern, redneck chick.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You were obviously and understandably upset that your alliance turned on you on last night's episode but Chase upset you the most.
A. Jane: Yeah because he's the one that approached me initially about making an alliance. I didn't make the alliance. He did. It was the Carolina girl/Carolina boy thing. He was like my buddy. He helped me do some fishing when I first got there. Then, that was no more. I was amazed at the lack of people who wanted to fish. He knew how much I did around camp.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Everyone said what a threat you were to win the million. If you made it to the final tribal council, did you feel like it was a sure thing that you would win?
A. Jane: No. I felt that all the young tribe members that were on the jury... La Flor was going to put up a La Flor person to win. That was my gut feeling. You hear them talk and they're not going to give the old person the money.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Do you think you might win Fan Favorite?
A. Jane: Listen, I don't gamble. I don't count my chickens before they hatch.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What are you taking into consideration when you vote for someone to win the million?
A. Jane: I don't get to see what happened at La Flor until I see it on tv so I can only go back as far as my memory takes me. With Sash, I never believed a word he said about how I reminded him of his mother. Anytime anybody said that on Survivor, they've been lying. Holly was always flighty and so wishy-washy early on in the game. She didn't fit in with people. I saved her butt several times. I didn't get to meet Chase until the merge and he just seemed so sincere. Fabio, I had worked with on several challenges. I thought he was super athletic. Dan was useless out there. He'd be a great sympathy vote. If Dan makes it to the finals, he's got just a good shot as anyone else.

Don't miss the finale of Survivor: Nicaragua, Sunday, December 19th, at 8/7c on CBS.
