Hell's Kitchen has returned with a mere eight chefs left in the competition. The last episode ended with Chef Ramsay calling up Trev after elimination and left us wondering if he was going to be sent home after his poor performance during dinner service. Good thing for Trev, this was not the case. Ramsay merely had him switch back to his original blue team and the battle of the sexes is on again.  Although Trev is to be back with his own kind, there seems to be animosity brewing between him and his teammates.

The next day, Gordy calls all the remaining contestants to assemble for a blind taste test. One of the most important things a chef must have is a good palate. Each team member tried four different items and had to decipher which one came from a five-star restaurant, the others are fast food. All but Rob found a plate full of chicken wings delightful. Indeed, the chicken wings did come from a five-star restaurant, Gordy's restaurant at that. While the majority of the other chefs found a gas station chicken salad sandwich the better option, Chef Ramsay wanted to test each team's palates in a blind taste test challenge.

The first palate to palate consisted of Rob from the blue team and Gail from the red team. Both were able to call out grapefruit but Rob gave the team the lead with his ability to single out the truffle taste which gave the blue team a two to one lead in the challenge. Next were Sabrina and Rob. While Rob loved the five-star chicken wings he, and Sabrina for that matter, simply could not tell the difference between chicken and a filet mignon as they both failed to identify each one of the foods presented.

Julian and Vinny came up next and went blow for blow as each were able to identify potatoes and mozzarella cheese which left the blue team still ahead by a point. Nona and Trev were the last victims of the taste test. Trev struggled as Nona was able to tie it up with a scallop and eventually win the challenge with endive, the last dish presented.

Once again, the red team pulls out a come from behind victory and are treated to a two thousand dollar shopping spree and a fine dining experience with Chef Ramsay at Restaurant 14. As the girls splurge, the guys purge and sort all of Hell's Kitchen's garbage into recycling. Even in Hell they go green. After the blue team gets done playing with garbage they are then forced to prep both kitchens for the night's dinner service as they continue their losing streak.

The women return giddy and restless while the guys seem lethargic as they put the final touches on prep. Down to four on four, there is nowhere to hide in Hell's Kitchen as Ramsay opens for dinner service. Both teams leap out of the gate strong but soon fall behind. On the blue team, Rob cannot cook fish to stay afloat while Nona on the red team is having trouble cooking chicken. As the red team begins to fall behind Sabrina starts taking charge. While Rob finally turned around his fish techniques, Nona is still struggling and forces Chef Ramsay to take over on her station. After a quick argument with Gordy, she is asked to leave the kitchen.

The domino effect began with Nona as Vinny tried pushing out poorly prepared gnocchi and as a result got booted from the kitchen. Then Russell gets booted for trying to serve raw chicken leaving Rob and Trev to finish dinner service for the blue team. Eventually, Rob also gets kicked out of the kitchen after he again fails at cooking the fish. With Trev standing alone on the blue side of the kitchen he finishes strong while Gail, Sabrina and Julian finish their dinner service.

While the dinner service started with eight and ended with four, for Gordy, Julian and Sabrina were the clear standouts. With another blue team loss, Trev is forced to choose two members of his team for elimination. He decides on Rob and Russell. With Russell pulling his weight for the majority of the competition, Gordy decides to eliminate big Rob from Hell's Kitchen as the blue team continue to self destruct.
