Jill Behm from Survivor: Nicaragua

Last night, on Survivor: Nicaragua, La Flor lost both the reward and immunity challenge, which sent them to tribal council yet again. The younger members of the tribe convinced Marty to give up the idol with their word that he would be safe. They kept their promise but took out his biggest ally in the game, Jill. Today, we spoke to Jill in an exclusive interview about her experiences playing the game of Survivor.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was the main reason you wanted to play the game of Survivor?
A. Jill: I wanted to play because I was a huge fan of the show. I've been applying since season 2. I'm a fan who has applied and applied and applied. I'm at the point in my athetlic career where I've won national titles and I'm too old to go to the Olympics. I wanted to do something that was athletic, outdoorsy, and combined all my hobbies.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: In his blogs on EW.com, Jeff Probst expressed that he felt you were underrated in the game. Were you trying to play a quiet game and not draw too much attention to your strategy?
A. Jill: This is frustrating for me because I'm really annoyed that people don't like my game. When you look at my game, I saw the clue. I was Sprint Player of the Week. I was arguably one of the best females in challenges for a long time. Marty and I had taken control of Espada completely. Up until then, it was a flawless game but the tribe swap took care of that. I don't get people who are critical of me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You worked with Marty throughout this game. What made him a good person to form an alliance with?
A. Jill: You know, before you're in the game, yo'ure obviously not allowed to talk but you eyeball people. I saw Marty and Yve and we clicked. They didn't really show that on the edit how tight our alliance was. We were completely 100% loyal to each other. Once we got moved without Yve, we were even closer. Marty was 100% loyal to the end.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When the tribes were mixed up and you ended up on La Flor, did you feel that you and the old members of Espada were in trouble?
A. Jill: Oh yeah, big time! There were only three of us. We were stuck with Jane who didn't like us. We had tight La Flors with us. I was really not happy.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Jane said that she felt like the ugly duckling when she was on Espada. Is that true or is she just saying what she needs to say to La Flor to stay in the game?
A. Jill: I think she's probably saying what she needs to say. There's no doubt in my mind Jane feels that way. Whether or not that's the truth is another story. Jane is a victim of her own poor decision making. She aligned with people like Wendy Jo and Jimmy T who were voted out. She never came to us and said she wanted to align with us. We were looking for solid people and we ended up with Dan after a couple episodes. We never mistreated Jane, not at all. She had some minor medical stuff going on and I felt like I looked after her. That's her perception of reality.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: It seems like the original La Flor members can run this game to the end if they wanted. What does an original Espada member need to do in order to make it to that final tribal council?
A. Jill: There's a lot of tension in La Flor. People don't get along. If you kick the hornet's nest and stand back, maybe you can dodge the shrapnel and be okay. That's what I would do.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Looking back on your experiences playing Survivor, is it something you'd ever want to do again?
A. Jill: Absolutely! I made mistakes and I want to go back and fix those. This is something that'll stay with you unless you get asked back for an All Stars.
