The Apprentice Season 10

by David McAlpine

Last night on The Apprentice, the challenge was simple: create a guerilla marketing stunt for Popcorn, Indiana. The aim: viral video. You know, Chocolate Rain Guy, Numa-Numa status is what we're talking about, here.

Clint and Mahsa were quick to step up as leaders for their team, which had their varying responses (especially with the women). Cut to the planning stage and David is eating a bagel. But not just any bagel, but a killer bagel! It takes out an entire half of his tooth, sidelining him from the rest of the competition.

Steuart basically thinks David is a baby. David is glad to be out of the challenge because David is still angry that Steuart made a negative comment towards him. How dare he, right? Meanwhile, Steuart is also happy David is not around, because he's annoying in general.

The men came up with the idea to film lots of people hitting each other with bags of popcorn. Hard. On Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Tower. I can see how it was a great stunt, but Wade was concerned about the children who were getting hit. The other guys' response? No one cared, they went ahead and did it anyway.

The women were having a harder time coming up with something. They decided on going to a gym and film a series of shots where a guy is working out next to hot women while eating popcorn. The aim was a little crooked: was he supposed to be creepy? Sexy? I can't be entirely sure, but Tyana was surely against all of this. She, however, had no alternative, so the women continued down such path.

In the boardroom, Tyana was the first to throw her team under the bus because she hated their concept. She was even openly verbal about how much she liked the guys' video. Cue Mahsa to attack Tyana and reassure Trump that the women were indeed triumphant.

Unfortunately for Mahsa, the men's viral potential beat out the women's concept, so Clint gets to meet Steve Forbes instead. After some mild snarky comments and lots of finger-pointing (literally), Mahsa picked Liza and Tyana to come back into the boardroom. After a waiting period where they were all super icy, arms folded, not looking at each other, they march back in and Mahsa goes on the offense.

Liza and Mahsa double team Tyana, saying that she had no alternative idea, so it was her fault they failed. Tyana really had no excuse, but she tried to put up a fight. The executives liked the concept, though, which is what Tyana fought against, so it was only logical that Trump fire her.

Now, Tyana's back in real estate and she's hoping getting her face out on television will boost her business after the show.

The Apprentice airs Thursdays on NBC at 10/9c.
