Earlier this month, So You Think You Can Dance kicked off their national tour in New Orleans. Over the next two months, the Top 7 from season 7 and several all-stars will travel around the country, visiting 40 cities. Later this month, RealityWanted will head backstage at the tour to talk some of your favorite dancers but today, we caught up with all star Ade Obayomi in an exclusive interview to talk season 7 and try to get some tour info out of him!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What did it mean to you to be chosen as an all star for season 7?
A. Ade: It was incredible! I thought they were kidding at first when they were talking about all stars and changing the format. I was like, "You want me to be a part of it?!" I was very grateful and happy. It was a great experience. It was so crazy to see everyone. It was like a reunion.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was the biggest difference for you between being a contestant and an all star?
A. Ade: I guess the way the show treated you was the biggest difference. We know what to expect. It's like déjà vu except you're getting paid this time and you get to go home. You talk to the choreographers. They treat you much nicer! It was familiar which was nice. I got to meet the other all stars and meet them finally like Allison and Domenic, who I've never met before.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Even though you weren't being judged, did you feel pressure this season because your performance could directly impact the judges' opinions of the contestant?
A. Ade: It was kind of a crazy energy. You want to do well for your partner and you want them to do well. You want yourself to do well because you don't want the judges to say, "Why wasn't the all star keeping up?" The season 7 kids were so amazing. I had to keep up with Billy, Kent, Robert, crazy people. You want to do well for you, your partner, the judges, and America. It was hard work for us!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I think I might know the answer to this question but what was your favorite piece that you performed in season 7?
A. Ade: I have to say "Mad World" with Billy. I love Stacey Tookey. She's an amazing choreographer. That's the week Billy did well and the judges finally gave him the encouragement he was looking for.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I'm hoping it will be on the tour...
A. Ade: I guess you gotta come see and find out!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How fortunate do you feel to have been able to not only take part in two seasons but go out on tour twice?
A. Ade: It was crazy. I couldn't believe it. Being asked to be on the show, the next step was to get on the tour. I had no words when they told me I was going on tour! I had just gotten off tour the year before with the show. It just felt like déjà vu. It's been great. We're having so much fun! Knowing the cities and where to go and who to see is great. I'm showing the kids the ropes and they're loving it! I want them to have as great of an experience as I did on my first tour.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I know that you and Brandon Bryant are roommates and best friends. Who else have you gotten close to from being on the show or are there too many to name?
A. Ade: The list is so long! No one forces us to be friends but you're stuck with these people for months. If you're on tour, it's six months of your life. Allison has been the biggest relationship I've gained from this. She's so amazing - an amazing dancer and person. She's like my favorite. I call her my tour wife.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Can you give fans a little sneak peek of what they can expect to see on tour?
A. Ade: All your favorite numbers from the season. There's new stuff just for the tour. Anything you liked or the judges liked is definitely on this tour. They have the season 6 winner Russell doing a lot of things. Even I watch the show and I'm like, "Okay wow, everyone is so good!"

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Any big plans coming up?
A. Ade: I don't even know! Things keep taking me by surprise! I have no idea what's coming up after January. I just leave it up to fate. I don't even try to make plans anymore! We'll see what happens... hopefully something good.
