Dancing with the Stars Season 11

by Gabrielle Abrams

The Dancing with the Stars week 2 results show started right off bringing Kyle and Lacy to the front along with Brandy and Mak. Kyle and Lacey were told right away that they were safe. With their energetic quick step they performed on Monday, how could they not be? Brandy and Mak were told they were in jeopardy and placed them aside for later.

Bruno was told that he was in jeopardy himself with the audience about the critique he gave Bolton. He stood up for what he said. Len stated that the judge's job is to educate the celebrities, but stated that Bruno should always give them positive feedback before any harsh criticism.

Kyle and Lacey went back onto the dance floor again to show off their innovative "new class quickstep" that earned them those high points. The encore performance looked just as good, if not better, as their performance last night.

Special guest performer Janelle Monet went next, singing her song "Tightrope" off of her new album. She had a very interesting performance with great vocal range but all that was slightly masked by the bird-nest looking hairdo that she had.

DWTS covered up some controversy with the press from Monday night's performance when audience members booed during results and appeared on television as if they were booing Sarah Palin. The audience was actually responding to the judge's scores of all 8's to

Jennifer and Derek believing they should have scored higher. The unedited version of the clip was reaired on T.V. to clear up that confusion.

Five more pairs were brought out to have their futures on the show revealed. Florence and Corky were told right away that they will be returning next week. Florence stated that she may be 76 but she feels 20! Bristol and Mark will also be returning for another week.

Audrina and Tony and Jennifer and Derek viewers will also get the joy of seeing them dance once again. The Situation and Katrina were not as lucky and were told to wait.

The dancers then shared their rituals on film with everyone. Rituals ranged anywhere from smelling the floor to putting socks in the refrigerator. The dancers all had a different ritual before they went onstage and also differed in how they prepared their celebrities. The dancers will calm themselves down, then calm their celebrities, and then dance like crazy on the dance floor!

The Macy's Stars of Dance took to the floor next showing an impressive display of strength morphing their bodies into unseemly and unnatural ways, well, for most of us. There were acrobatics being done while the dancers were suspended in the air. It was as if they fused ballet with Cirque du Soleil in this unique performance.

Another guest performer went on stage and that was Seal. He performed a song called "Weight of My Mistakes" from his new album. Seal can certainly still sing with his unique voice that makes him stand out from many others.

After the surprise elimination of the Hoff last week, all the contestants know that no one is safe. Anyone could be the next to leave.
Kurt and Anna are brought up and told they are safe. Margaret and Louis were told they are safe next. Rick and Cheryl, after waiting patiently, were also told that they will be returning. Michael and Chelsie were told next that they will join the other two groups after the commercial break.

After the commercial break Bolton states that he "feels good, no matter what happens." He said he loves his cast members. He also thought that Bruno was disrespectful and inappropriate in his critique.

Brandy and Mak are the first to be relieved. They are safe until next week. Then The Situation and Katrina are also taken out of their misery. We will see the reality star come back to, hopefully, redeem himself after spending the past two result shows in the bottom.

Michael Bolton and Chelsie were announced to be the second group to be eliminated from the competition. Bolton said he was surprised to be leaving and that he was disappointed.

Bolton did get the lowest score on Monday night. He was told he had the "worst jive in 11 seasons".  Do you agree with the judges?
