The episode began with all 14 girls walking around Venice Beach, CA. They are circled by Harry Perry, a Venice Beach icon, who hands them the key to their new house. The house's theme is Vogue Italia, and covers of the magazine line the walls. The entire front of the structure is glass, and the home has a runway and a giant sandbox on the top level.

 

As the girls get settled in, Chris asked Ann what her type of man was, and she responded that she'd like a warlock. Anamaria said that

she used to weigh 135 and now weighs 110, and Kayla asked if anyone else in the house was gay or bisexual. She is a lesbian, and she wants to be the first lesbian to win ANTM.

 

The girls get a Tyra Mail which says, "Your rise to the top begins in Hollywood! Love, Tyra", and then meet the Jays at the Hollywood & Highland Center. They will be walking in a Diane von Furstenberg runway show, and the runway is four stories up. They also had to do their own hair and makeup for the show.

 

The runway show began; notable walks were Kacey, who couldn't see without her glasses; Kayla, who pointed at the crowd at the end of the runway, and Anamaria, who stumbled on the steps coming back. Afterwards, the Jays told the girls that most of them did very well, but that there was a lot to learn.

 

The next day, the girls got a Tyra Mail which said, "Ever been bullied? What's the one word that hurt you the most? Love, Tyra.", and they go to Smashbox Studios. The photo shoot was about teen bullying, and Mr. Jay said that each girl would have a negative word painted on their body, and a "power word" to counteract it. The idea was to show that bullying didn't define who the girls became as adults.

 

Tyra came by to talk to the girls about their bully words; Kayla, who chose the word "queer" and had to leave school because of the bullying she suffered, was crying because she was afraid to see the word written on her body.

 

The photo shoot began; Memorable performances: Kayla, whose bully word was "Queer", and whose power word was "Free", gave vulnerability in her shot that Jay really liked; and Ann, whose bully word was "Giant" and whose power word was "Amazon", showed sensitivity in her photograph.

 

After the shoot, Demi Lovato dropped by and told the girls that she knows what it's like to be bullied, and the subject is one of her biggest platforms. The girls were excited to see her, until Jay announced that this would be the last shoot for one of them.

 

Next was panel, with guest judge Diane von Furstenberg! Notable: Ann, whose photo evoked a gentleness to Nigel and made Diane say that she could be a big model; Kayla, who produced a photo that Tyra said was beautiful; and Chelsea, who gave us a "gorgeous" photo in which Tyra said her eyes looked possessed.

 

The judges said that Terra went for a pose that was obvious, and Anamaria didn't create enough angles with her body, which the judges said didn't project health. During deliberations, the judges said that Kayla showed vulnerability in a good way, that Terra looked pensive in her photo, and that Diane von Furstenberg would hire Kendal right away if she walked into her agency.

 

The call out order was as follows: Ann, Kayla, Chelsea, Kendal, Lexie, Liz, Jane, Esther, Chris, Rhianna, Kacey, and Sara.

 

The bottom two were Terra and Anamaria. Tyra said that Terra is a beautiful girl with strong poses but lacks focus, and that Anamaria is gorgeous, but the judges are concerned about the message that her body type might send to younger girls. Anamaria was eliminated.

 

Tyra told Anamaria that she doesn't want her to lose work because someone says she's too skinny, and that it might help to eat something to project an image that doesn't show she's hurting her body. Anamaria said that if she gets told by multiple agencies that she's too thin, then she'll do something about it.
