Big Brother 12

by David McAlpine

Tonight on Big Brother 12, no one is sad to see Matt go. During the Fast Forward hour, Hayden assures Brendon that he's not the target and that he's not going home; instead Ragan is the one who they all want out. Ragan, however, wins the Power of Veto, which forces the target to change to Brendon sending him out the door with, again, little to no remorse.

All of a sudden, everyone respects Brendon's game, since he's gone, which is a little pathetic. Of course you can respect the best game in the house once you're not threatened by it anymore! Now Ragan and Britney are on the same page fighting the rest of the Brigade for the ultimate power in the house.

Hayden and Enzo are set on nominating Britney and Ragan, but Lane is waffling a little more because of his friendship with Britney, so he hopes Enzo can pull out the win. In the HoH competition, it's a combination of skill and luck in a ramped of version of the perennial, very odd ball-and-teeter-totter game.

Britney is first out, followed by Enzo, leaving Ragan and Lane. Lane is pissed because he wanted Enzo to win so he wouldn't be put in a bad situation, while Ragan is intimidated by Lane's athleticism, even though this competition has nothing to do athletics. Ragan's ball-tossing skill is no match for Lane's, though, as Lane wins HoH, forcing him to pick between Britney and Hayden/Enzo for the pawn.

Now that he's all of a sudden become observant, Ragan knows he's on the outs and that he's on the bottom of the totem pole, which means another week of fighting for him. Meanwhile, Lane is trying to figure out who to pawn, which no one wants to do. Britney says she just did it, while Hayden keeps trying to shrug it off.

Up in Lane's HoH room, Lane starts to form cracks in his own jury armor when he makes comments about his job. Apparently his family is loaded and his job is a piece of cake, so now Hayden has Britney not wanting to vote for him in the end out of sheer non-need. Enzo knows that the Brigade needs to stick together, so he's on a mission to make sure Lane is sticking to the original alliance.

Lane gets offered Pandora's box, which has a preview of a money tree and $10,000 is teased. Of course, he opens it and finds out that he can take up to 3 envelopes which, if they're the right ones, can total $10,000. But, for each envelope, he'll unleash a punishment on the house. He takes three envelopes, which total $91.17 and, in return, gets three mysterious punishments for the house, including him.

Punishment one comes quickly: no silverware or cups for the week. Everyone is pissed at Lane as they use spatulas to scoop out mayonnaise and bowls to drink juice.

Britney is back at the nomination bit, trying not to get herself nominated. Lane seems worried that Britney would veto Ragan, which would put his alliance in jeopardy. Britney is concerned that if Enzo were to win the next HoH, she'd be on her way out. So, she comes up with the bright idea to nominate Hayden, which Lane shuts down right away, angering Britney.

Enzo and Hayden don't see any other alternative: it needs to be Britney and Ragan. He approaches Hayden, saying he hasn't been up for a while, but Enzo and Hayden start telling Lane he's being wishy-washy and untrustworthy because he's not staying true to the alliance.

No one knows what Lane is going to do, and Lane is concerned that his move this week is going to screw him over in the end. Ragan knows he's going up, while Enzo, Britney and Hayden all have the same "as long as it's not me" mentality. After the keys are pulled, Ragan and Enzo are put up for nomination, making people question where Lane's loyalties lie.

Find out who wins the Power of Veto and if they choose to use it on Enzo or Ragan on the next episode of Big Brother 12, next Wednesday at 8/7c.
