This week’s Real Housewives of New Jersey is the second half of the Manzo/Laurita cruise to the Giudice family reunion outside of Naples, Italy. Caroline is super happy to be off the cruise, but still mildly stressed because of the Giudice clan of little girls that are a little more than she can take. 

 

Joe is more than mildly stressed because Teresa packed a million bags and now they refuse to let the cruise ship handle the luggage so Joe gets to carry it all out like a pack mule. On the bus to the hotel, Teresa points out Mt. Vesuvius and ponders if it erupted hundreds of years ago or sixty years ago. She can’t recall. (66 years ago, for the record).  The bus takes them to their hotel in Naples, where Caroline and Albert are relieved for some quiet in their room, and talk about escaping from the group for a little bit.  The clan does get some time with their parents to walk down memory lane in Naples, as their parents tell stories. Chris then takes them all to dinner. 

When they check out the next day, the hotel tabs were in the ballpark of $850 Euros! Whaaa??? That’s insane! Joe bitches about it for a long time on the bus, to the point where Caroline starts busting up.

 

The family hikes it up a hill to their small town where the reunion will be held, when Joe mentions that there used to be donkeys that would bring stuff up and down. They could have used those donkeys!

 

Back in New Jersey, Danielle meets with a private investigator that Danny set her up with to find her biological mom. She wants to find her for her own purposes, so if her mother is an addict or homeless, she doesn’t want to connect with her. 

 

Later, Danny picks her up and takes her to a restaurant in Franklin Lakes for Panini’s. She is really excited, since the “enemies” are out of town, she can go to Franklin Lakes without causing a scene or finding one. She also say's "Panini's" like 8 times...it's kind of annoying. Just eat it!

 

When the private investigators call her later, they tell her that because her mom was a minor when she had her, things are a lot stickier than they thought they would be, and things could drag out for a long time. At this point, it seems like Danielle just sort of gives up… is her search over? It is kind of confusing.

 

Next week, everyone is back in town and it is the season finale. Caroline asks Danielle to meet for a face off, so we will see where that goes!
