The claws started coming out last night on Project Runway, and no one was safe. After being given the challenge to create a look purely out of party supplies (e.g. streamers, ribbons, napkins...or in Casanova's case, a stuffed dog) some designers rose to the opportunity to create a stunning design and others fell short. Andy's intricate weaving and aesthetically pleasing design won him the challenge, while Sarah's palm tree and table liner dress came up as a dud. Today, Sarah spoke with reporters about her time on the show and the real dirt of what's going on.
Q. Lindsay, RealityWanted: Let's talk about the palm tree. Why didn't you stick with your first instinct and get rid of the tree when you realized it wasn't working?
A. Sarah: well I think it was because I was so tired and haven't eaten for a week. It was like I left my body and I wasn't making great decisions. I kind of gave up. I knew I wasn't going to do what others were willing to do to make it to the end.
Q. Lindsay, RealityWanted: Week after week we've heard the contestants beating down on Casanova's designs. When you were in the bottom two with him, what was going through your mind?
A. Sarah: I love him. I loved his crazy little float design. I knew I was going home. There were two much stronger personalities next to me so I just waited listening to them talk and waited to go home.
Q. Lindsay, RealityWanted: This week we start to see some new rifts and bonds forming. How was the dynamic of the group while you were on the show?
A. Sarah: I think things changed and they will continue to change. People are starting to form little groups.
Q. There seems like there is a lot more drama to come. Do you think one of the reasons you were voted off was because you weren't making enough drama?
A. Sarah: Absolutely. I was the only even tempered person there. I was not what they wanted and wasn't going to give them what they wanted. I wanted to keep my respect in tact.
Q. Out of the 3 challenges, which captured your true essence?
A. Sarah: The first challenge. That is totally me.
Q. Was there any backstabbing or copying of designs happening?
A. Sarah: I think that definitely started to happen. I can't say what's going to happen in future episodes but things are going to intensify.
