Big Brother Season 12

by Gina Scarpa

It's either Matt or Monet on tonight's episode of Big Brother. Matt is supposed to be the pawn but in the Big Brother house, you never know what could happen. Britney and Monet can't seem to stop crying, which is a little funny to watch actually. Instead of being sad that they'll be split up and talk about their real emotions, they resort right back to being the Mean Girls of the house, talking trash about anyone and everyone.

Brendon and Rachel aren't the only showmance in the house. Kristen and Hayden have developed "true feelings" for each other... or feelings that develop when you're locked away in a house from the rest of the world and a bottle of wine is involved. However, their showmance is secret, or so they thought, until Andrew heard them hooking up in the bed near him.

Finally, Kristen makes it on to the show for something more than a secret showmance. Rachel tells her that the Mean Girls said she had her vote. Follow me? Well, Kristen was pretty pissed off about the whole thing and confronted Brit and Monet. Rachel and Brendon jump in on the argument, which ends in Monet crying - again.

In a meeting later in the HOH room, Rachel reveals to Britney that Matt volunteered to go up as the pawn. Britney tells her that Matt is coming after her next and now Rachel is crying.

A house meeting is called where Matt is called out for volunteering to be a pawn. Didn't anyone listen to Ragan who, on the last episode, said that pawns early in the game always walk out the door? Matt and Enzo try to deflect any attention on the Brigade, saying there's no alliance in the house. After that meeting, it seems like people aren't quite sure where their vote lies. Uh oh...

Julie interviews Rachel, who calls Matt a snake and doesn't regret calling him out in front of the house at all. She also admits that she would choose Brendon over the prize money, if she had to. Wow!!

Downstairs, Matt and Monet plead their cases to stay in the house. Monet fights back tears and asks people to vote with their hearts. Matt tells people not to get crazy about BS, promises he won't hold anything against anyone, and asks to stay. He finishes his speech by calling Julie Chen "Chenbot" which just made that my favorite moment of the season. That... was... awesome.

Andrew casts the first vote for Monet and it's clear where this is going. By a vote of 7-2, Monet is evicted from the house. The two votes to keep Monet belong to Kathy and Britney. Mother and daughter, perhaps?

When she sits down with Julie, Monet feels that her $10,000 prize early on could have contributed to her leaving the house. She says the Big Brother house made her crazy and in real life, she's much stronger. I was hoping nicer, too, but she doesn't regret any of the things she said about Rachel.

It's time to crown a new HOH and for this competition, the players are on surfboards and the last one standing wins. However, there's a twist (of course). The first five to fall will be "Haves" for the week. Water pours down hard core on them as they try to balance on the boards. If you wanted to know who was going to be the new HOH, you'll have to wait or look it up online. This competition is going to be a while.

Don't miss the nominations on Big Brother, Sunday at 8/7c on CBS.
