It's been 10 years since The Real World hit New Orleans and, last night, eight new strangers moved in together just in time for Mardis Gras. They are: Knight, a hockey player that was once addicted to painkillers; Jemmye, a Southern bad girl that loves tattoos; McKenzie, a typical Florida girl that loves the beach; Preston, a lover of fashion who doesn't give away his trust so easily; Ashlee, a Division I college basketball player who sells power tools for a living; Eric, an international relations specialist who is also a stand up comic; Sahar, a girl from a small town with big dreams of being a singer; and Ryan, a hairdresser who promises that he's not gay.

Now, The Real World is known for its amazing houses but this one hast o be at the top of the list. It's a mansion that is ridiculously cool with a hot tub, trolley car inside, and that‘s just upon first glance! Jemmye and Preston arrive first and grab a room together immediately. The others arrive soon after and start checking each other out and pairing off for rooms. McKenzie and Sahar are in one room, Knight and Ashlee in another (after Ryan begs her to switch with him), and Eric and Ryan in the other.

It's the first night in New Orleans and what else is there to do but go out and party? There's drinking, mechanical bull riding, hissy fits (Ryan, I'm talking to you), gay bar visits, and hookups. Preston hooks up with a guy at the bar, while Ryan gets hit on and kissed on the neck. He freaks out and Preston tries to joke with him but Ryan responds, "When one of you touches me, I feel like killing myself." Wow! That's a bit over the top.

It only gets worse from there.  Ryan and Preston almost come to blows outside the bar and the fight continues back at home.  Jemmye comes to Preston's defense, prompting Ryan to call her "trailer trash".  Finally, after a ton of drama, Ryan apologizes to both of them and everyone makes amends... for now.

The Real World airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on MTV.
