The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat 2

by Gina Scarpa

When we last left The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat 2, Evelyn and Luke crossed the finish line first at the Exile but Landon and Carley were not far behind and had a 5 minute advantage. The only problem is that Carley can barely stand up and is seconds away from blacking out but Landon is determined to push, pull, or drag her to that finish line. They end up making it and winning the Exile by 2 minutes, which prompts Evelyn to break down and act like a sore loser. I don't know why she's blaming Luke when she was the one who ignored the puzzle that offered the 5 minute advantage to teams that could solve it. Suck it up, Ev.

Back at the house, both Jenn and Ryan agree that since neither of their teams have gone to Exile yet, one will voluntarily go against Landon and Carley, provided they don't win the next challenge. Landon tries to convince Jenn and Ryan that they'd have a better shot going up against each other instead of him... which in a way is true, but Landon really just doesn't wanna do another Exile after this one took its toll on both him and Carley. Understandable. Can he really convince the two friends to go after each other, though?

Before the challenge, Noor has an extremely difficult time breathing and his asthma acts up, forcing him to use a breathing machine to get himself regulated again. That doesn't seem good...

The teams compete in a challenge called Obstacle. There are 10 obstacles spread out over a 1/2 mile course and that seems fairly simple enough but the last obstacle is called Defender, in which an opposing team will try to stop the competing team from crossing the finish line. TJ throws out another twist. The top 3 teams are automatically safe, while the bottom 2 teams are automatically sent to Exile. The stakes are high so it looks like it'll be an all out war when teams get to Defender.

Jenn and Noor, having won the last challenge, get to determine the order and send Ryan and Theresa in first. They face Landon and Carley in Defender at the 10th obstacle and Landon definitely does not take it easy on Ryan. Their time isn't looking too good right now.

Landon and Carley are up next. Now, let's remember what Carley looked like at that Exile challenge. You have to give credit to this girl. She's a fighter and she is not playin' around in these challenge. She and Landon take on Pete and Jill in Defender without too much of a problem.

Pete and Jillian take on the obstacles next, facing Kenny and Laurel in Defender and it's just not even a fair fight between Laurel and Jillian. Laurel says she feels bad but not that bad because she keeps shoving Jill to the ground over and over and over.

Of course, Kenny and Laurel breeze through their obstacles but find themselves exhausted when they bust through the wall to take on Jenn and Noor in Defender. He may not have been able to breathe earlier but Noor attacks Kenny with everything he has and slows him way down from reaching the finish line.

In the dark, Jenn and Noor hit the course. Damn, this has been a long day! Ryan and Theresa wait to take them on and try to hold them off as long as possible from crossing the finish line. Noor blows right past him, while Jenn catfights her way to the end.

The top 3 teams are: Kenny and Laurel, Landon and Carley, and Pete and Jillian. That means that Ryan and Theresa and Jenn and Noor will go to Exile, just as Landon was hoping. Jenn and Noor lost to Pete and Jillian by just two seconds. Craziness.
